its just hard to really know what these songs will be like even hearing the samples

 

if we never heard BMS & heard that these 2 songs were being sampled...i wouldn't have imagined BMS to be what it is

Just a stan vent,

 

Beyoncé works so hard on her art and really gives her all. From the videos to the intricacies in her music, to the story she tells etc and I hate that she doesn’t get the appreciation so many other artists get easily. For Beyoncé and Lemonade to not win AOTY or sell 5 mill plus just in the US is so aggravating. I can already see how much detail is going into the Renaissance era and I hope she is finally rewarded her dues.

I don’t know… XO and Partition are pretty high highs for me. Those two are my most played Bey songs. All Night is a close third.

Only thing I worry is that 15 tracks leaves a lot of room for filler. So the album may not be as tight as Lem or ST

I get where you're coming from and fully agree but we can't pretend like both weren't major triumphs for what they were, BEYONCÉ has sold 6 million in the US with SPS and Lemonade will likely go down as the LAST album by a black artist to pass the 2M (or even 1M) pure sales mark in the US, on top of being the best selling album of 2016 globally. The success they had in spite of the sabotage is nothing short of incredible. I'm hopeful Renaissance can continue this trend, especially streaming-wise.

The way IASF is her only album with filler, I imagine this won’t change any time soon

 

 

it really feels like Bey has been handling her albums as trilogies already; DIL, B’Day & IASF was the debut/breakout trilogy; 4, ST and Lemonade was her liberated/independent trilogy and Renaissance is about to start her legends/iconic trilogy soon. Imagine if all the acts were actually albums though

Yes, I agree with everything you are saying. I just feel like if she were a man/not black no one would be questioning her impact, and she would have received all the accolades.
 

Don’t mind me, I was just watching black is king and in my feels. She didn’t have to give us that for a side project. That dedication is truly amazing.  

 

We need to upload fake snippets of the songs and spread them as much as possible to combat any leak

XO is still her best post-2010 pop song. But if she could effortlessly top ST with Lemonade after she set the bar at the highest level imaginable, then she'll have no issue doing it with Renaissance too. I really have faith in her vision. 

the biggest challenge for me will be listening to the album in order on first listen

 

thats what i normally do for everybody else without issue but with Beyonce...I am just so eager to hear certain songs first & jump around
