Those two songs are exquisite.

Interestingly enough, not only was TWYB a showcase of her versatility, as it represented her first ever Folk endeavor, but it was also a preview of CC.

There would be no 16 Carriages or act ii altogether now, if it hadn't been for the I Am side :clap3:

Other than that, melodical Pop really suits Bey, and IASF is a proof of that.

TWYB also segues perfectly into 1+1.

I know this award is a joke but the point is, she has cemented herself in history with the likes of Whitney and Lauryn. And on top of that she won an award for a genre that completely ridiculed and ex

None. Both projects probably wouldn't even exist under Matthew's management.

He was really good with marketing Beyoncé the pop star, but not Beyoncé the artist. You can tell she had to fire him to grow both her career and her craft.

For example, I don't think the surprise releases of Self Titled or Lemonade would have happened if he had a say since they go against what is tried and trued which you can tell was always Matthew's approach, even nowadays when he talks about how he developed and marketed Destiny's Child/Beyoncé's early career. He always puts commerce first and the music second.

I think Mathew would've been fine with Renaissance except for maybe the album cover. Mathews frame of reference is old school R&B and the Berry Gordy model of singles, singles, singles and a variety of  televised performances. For the 2000s era and times, Mathew was the perfect manager.  I do wish he stayed for 4 because that was ironically the most old school R&B album that would've benefited most from the above marketing. RTW Girls confused the audience as to the sonic direction

Well this is exactly why the albums wouldn't have worked the way they did. Beyoncé's post IASF material clicked so well because they were against the traditional way of the music industry in almost all aspects.

If Matthew still was involved and gave his input, the albums wouldn't have the same impact. Think Self Titled for example, its cultural impact was in its surprise drop and on a Friday, Matthew wouldn't have thought of that.

Same with Renaissance, it's apart of a trilogy with no visuals and builds off ballroom queer culture. Things Matthew wouldn't not know how to market or would favor likely.

Happy New Year fam! Excited for whatever Giselle has in store for us this year.

Happy New Year everyone!

Can't believe we enter another calendar year with B still at the top of her game. Hoping a great year for all of us filled with amazing Beyoncé music, performances and content and minimal B shenanigans.

Happy new year y'all. Neque was a little TOO relevant in 2024, like far more relevant than she was for Rennie. It's getting scary, her staying power (outside of Billboard). They can't get enough of her, they want more!! :jonnycat:

I see some speculations that we'll get a deluxe with some Latin music? The teaser certainly gave some Mi Gente Latino vibes.

Iirc Single Ladies, Love On Top and Crazy In Love had their biggest days ever on New Year's Eve last year. Cuff It also re-entered the chart.
