Wow. What a time!! Azealia Banks was really on her come-up. Between "Ratchet" and "Red Flame" for Lady Gaga, she was brought to the studio by Pharrell to work on a guide track for ATM Jam (originally for Beyonce), almost secured a place on ST with her "Partition" guest verse, had a side music project with Cara Delevigne (a band called "ABCD" and their lead single was "Blossom", Azealia's solo version leaked online), was rumored to have worked on music with Kanye for his GOOD Music "Cruel Winter" second compilation, and was in the studio with Hit-Boy for Rihanna (all of her demos for Rih have leaked online: "Kilo", "Let You In", "La Dominadora"). Back on topic: I definitely think a music video was planned for Bow Down.

If I'm remembering this correctly, there was the IG photo you've posted above, another where she almost looks bow-legged in all black with a "Bow Down" snapback and a smoke machine about to break down some choreography, and another where it looked like she was driving a UPS truck (one of those mail carrier trucks with no side doors) in a warehouse/parking garage with striped dress pants. All three looked like they were taken around the same time.

I remember exactly what you're talking about. There was a video backdrop of her on her website in the black bow down outfit from MCS as well. Everyone thought it was an interlude for the show, but then she performed bow down and they used the baby pics instead.

it was updated after the bow down performance and its the same fit she used on the baby boy and bow down backdrops (so its probably outtakes from that, you can see her doing the lil spin from the baby boy choreo at the end)

Formation was a great tour, but Renaissance bested it IMO, it truly felt like a party.  Like the vibe was euphoric to me.

RWT> FWT. Love both but the feeling at RWT was magical everyone in the stadium was at a 10. I loved how everyone got dressed up for it and it really became its own cultural moment. The set list was a dream for any Renaissance stan to get the whole album like I did in Houston. And I popped up on the film a few times. So yeah it's a wrap on FWT but I still love that show too. 

FWT used to be her best tour, but I'm glad she stop relying on big screens as the main focus and started giving us again a more theatrical approach with tons of stage props and better lighting production.

 

FWT (just like MCST) looks like it doesnt have a concept to follow and it feels like a live playlist with some nice visuals also too much break dance imo

What she did at the VMAs 2014 can never be undone. The setlist, sequencing and transitions, overall production, vocals, her flirting with the camera, overall iconography were all top-notch. Truly one of the greatest medleys in award show history.

We made eye contact during energy at Rennie, and she smiled. I melted lol 

Formation Tour is cute but Renaissance Tour eclipsed it and not because of recency bias.
