Rock as act. III is a speculation that comes from Hives. I clearly remember when it happened. We have no concrete info regarding rock. Country we had, Rock, no. 

I am madly craving a power ballad with a huge climax. Imagine the bridge of 16 carriages but that is just the beginning and she takes it even further. 

I absolutely love all her runs and how vocally intricate her songs are, the type you really need to listen multiple times to fully digest. That being said, it's time for her to go all in again. I want Love on top, Dangerously in love, Listen type big. If there was ever an album I think she will do it again, it'll be this. Just one song like that please.

Twitter Hive has taken the "Rock" thing and never looked back.

 

IMO, the Amazon Italy "spill" looks like nothing more than a re-worded take on the Variety article (which, to date, is still the only reputable tea we got on the era. IMO, it was deffo planted by Team Bey...given its specificity and deliberate vagueness too). From specifying Dance and Country before we had any proper intel on Ren to sharing names that have all proven true like Saadiq and Tedder to muddying the waters when it comes to whether it is the same album or two albums.

 

That said, I am starting to come around to the idea of Act III being Rock. For the simple fact that little else would align with the "reclaiming Black genres" narrative. 

 

I'm also leaving room for Act III to be the visuals and won't even pretend to be shocked or disappointed if that ends up being the case. Also, something about the "what is a B7 & B8" pre-Ren has me wondering if it really was a tease for two conceptually tied albums and a film tying it all together.

 

We'll see.

Although rock was never really confirmed by any source I can still see it being rock anyway. We were right about country so I trust our collective instincts.

Once CC comes out and its a nice melting pot of genres & sounds like Rennée was…it leaves the door open for act 3 to be ANYTHING.

It's so funny to me that we spent 2 years pondering about the "This three act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic" sentence, going as far as saying "act 2 - remix album", the tour is act 2, for her to blatantly announce act ii as a new album - and we're back to point one with saying act 3 will be visuals/film sleep tight, act iii will be a new album with a different musical inspiration. Visuals (if ever coming) are a separate thing

So, it seems it may really be the tea. I guess today will be the true confirmation. 

 

If it is, I'm willing to eat humble pie regarding the no-promo moaning. Because while there's definitely tried and true logic to giving oneself a long window to sell, for a more "premium" brand like Bey's, I can see how condensing and concentrating the push to the 10 days before the album drops would be a savvy way for them going all out without spamming us for weeks and weeks.

I was saying this literally last week! Like I don't mind the traditional album promos that last nearly 1-2 months before release, but then as soon as the album comes there's not even as much hype anymore because of the constant teasing. Where as Beyoncé does it 2 weeks prior and it still feels soooo brand new, and the anticipation is even crazier cause it's like *BAM* new album. Idk I prefer this type of promo tbh lol.
