Personally, I feel as baffled and overwhelmed by all of whats happening as i did in 2013 when ST dropped. It just completely amazes me how shes smashing so hard INTERNATIONALLY with THE  I was bracing myself for her flop era being the Country Era. The turn of events.

tbh this country album might be a great time to collaborate with Solange, from a conceptual standpoint.

 

 

if it's at all about centring her Texan roots, the lineage of Black musicians in country, and even just ... I mean what's more country than a good family band, a sister duo, ... the Judds lol.

 

I'm here for it. And it would be interesting and I think valuable for their first "real" collab (or at least since 2002) to be a genre that neither of them are particularly known for, which may allow them a bit more freedom to experiment and result in less pressure to created something that would be their definitive sister song.

Both songs are addictive, 16C still has a hold on me but I didn't expect to replay THE this much. As a matter of fact, I think my first impression of the song was "I can't replay this" . Now I can't stop.
