Random, but I'm so glad she's doing more of the soft glam look these days. Really showcases her face card. Felt as if the dark makeup kinda took away from that.

Our fave is a capitalist queen. She's not forgoing a huge check from a streamer because the narrative doesn't align (as well as it would have) in the here-and-now. In the grand scheme of things, it's nothing a little re-editing/re-tooling couldn't "fix".

 

Similarly, she'd be taking a huge financial loss not releasing. Best as I understand it, she produces her ish in-house and licenses / sells the finished product to the network/streamers. She can easily spend as little as $5 million on them herself and make $25 million selling it. Why take the loss because of a minor narrative misalignment when she can make up to 4x back?

 

Anything can happen, but a combo of the points above and the fact that Bey has yet to ever (ever!) announce something and not follow through has me certain the visuals are coming. 

 

Now, whether they'll have the impact/resonance coming this late is anyone's guess.

IIRC, with that situation, it was Alicia's call. Sources say that the juxtaposition between the slay Bey gave and what Alicia gave is why that video will likely never see the light of day. Almost like a mutually understood thing of it not being a good look to have the main artist shown up by the guest in such a major way. Others (maybe Alicia herself) have shared a vaguer suggestion that it just didn't come out as intended. But the fact there were never any reshoots or attempts to put it out given how big they both were at the time suggests the decision to "forget it" was pretty decisive/finite and for a specific reason. Probably, IMO, what sometimes looks like a good idea on paper and even sounds good sonically doesn't always translate visually.

I’m going through TikTok clips and she’s been enjoying herself more and more with every show. She’s putting more effort into the choreography, she’s experimenting with vocals, serving new beautiful looks... Just keeps getting better and better

There was a time Alicia was as big as Beyoncé but she fell off somewhere along the way. I hope she'll be able to redeem herself from her last bounch of efforts. I don't know how but I hope she will. Maybe a concept album would do it if she gets inspired.

Underdog was a decent size hit. But just as Bey is comfortable letting go of her peak, I think I'm also content with Alicia being in her legacy era. Last album scanned wood but she was still able to do a successful arena tour & is enjoying her life <3 

Let's say she releases the visuals around the Renaissance anniversary mark. What kind of impact do you think it would have, realistically speaking?

I doubt she'll be involved, but I'm sure The Lion King was pretty lucrative for her lol. and it's the highest grossing animated movie of all time as well as 7th highest grossing movie of all time, it was far from a flop.
