Where does 'Message in a Bottle' rank in Taylor Swift's discography?
The Fat Max G remix is a banger to this day.

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
HTIMYLM is probably my favourite song of the year and one of my most played Ari songs ever already so I was really excited for this album. But nothing else really clicked on first listen :(. There were a couple songs that felt like they would hit if the melodies were just slightly different and more catchy. Will listen again and see if anything changes

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
never get over me's chorus reminds me a lot of dandelion (but not as catchy unfortunately)
-
JENNIE - "Less than a Lover"
The chorus melody reminds me of this song
-
JENNIE - "Less than a Lover"
The chorus is SO CATCHY. I love it
-
ADÉLA - "Ain't in LA"
The We Can't Stop similarities aside, the "ahhh" melody in the intro and post-chorus reminds me of the "ooh" melody in Drive by Miley Cyrus. I missed 2013 sounding pop music.. I am MOVING

ADÉLA - "Ain't in LA"
This has some of the same cowriters as We Can't Stop (Theron Thomas) - assuming it was written for Bangerz but didn't make the cut/was too similar to We Can't Stop/Drive. A bop though

Charli xcx - 'Music, Fashion, Film'
I'm annoyed - why wouldn't she make the outro of Card Declined its own song? Literally makes no sense to put 40 seconds of what could've been a really good song at the end of what is otherwise a completely different and almost an unlistenable song

Gracie Abrams - 'Daughter from Hell'
The bridge of The Knife (2:33-3:02) is the best thing on the album. It's so melodically beautiful, I wish the whole song sounded like that.
-
Gracie Abrams - 'Daughter from Hell'
I absolutely LOVE The Knife's bridge - it reminds me of some melody from the early 2010s. The rest of the song isn't nearly as good as that incredible bridge
-
Gracie Abrams - 'Daughter from Hell'
Was hoping for more bops like Look At My Life. Minibar seems to be the closest on first listen. A few more songs feel like they could grow on me like Men Like You (idk why this gives me slight Maroon 5 vibes)
-
Charli xcx - "Wink Wink"
I love the chorus but hate the verses. I wish the verses were normal, it'd make this song amazing for me
-
Gracie Abrams - "Look at My Life"
This is a BOP. She is 2/2 for me this era.
-
Olivia Rodrigo - 'you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love'
I love the "nobody's wanted somebody more" line in the bridge of stupid song
-
Olivia Rodrigo - 'you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love'
Is it just me or is my way kind of lyrically immature? I normally am quite impressed by Olivia's lyrics but not sure how I feel about this one
- JENNIE debuts 3 new songs live
-
Taylor Swift - “I Knew It, I Knew You”
I'm a gigantic Taylor fan but unfortunately this isn't doing it for me. I definitely prefer her pop music (the first three songs from TLOAS are among my favourite pop songs ever) but maybe this will grow on me

Ariana Grande - "hate that i made you love me"
Surprised to not see more people talking about today's Spotify update. Like that's a BIG increase and it has more than 1 million streams than the #2 song on Spotify Global.

Ariana Grande - "hate that i made you love me"
The way my play count on Apple Music is 87 already. This is coming for my most played song of the year. I just can't get it out of my head. Especially in love with the "Sorry if I made me your type, yeah I-I" melody
-
Ariana Grande - "hate that i made you love me"
IT'S SO GOOD. The vocal production makes it sounds so polished and I love when the extra harmonies come in in the final chorus. It's wild how something as seemingly simple as "Yeah I-I-I" can elevate a song so much
-
Ariana Grande - "hate that i made you love me"
I feel this with many songs these days. But this song doesn't feel like one of those to me. Something about the way the verses, pre-chorus and chorus are all melodically structured and crafted make me feel like this song was MADE to be a single. The "Yeah I-I-I" melody, as simple as it is, is incredibly catchy and adds to that sounds-like-a-hit-song feeling for me. It's just not super upbeat like many hit singles are and that's okay.

Ariana Grande - "hate that i made you love me"
The pre-chorus melody and the "Yeah I-I-I" is SOOOO catchy. I genuinely find it so beautiful

hate that i made you love me vs Fortnight
Fortnight is incredible and has a melodically perfect chorus in my opinion. HTIMYLM is amazing too and could grow on me to reach Fortnight's level. Its prechorus is especially amazing. At the moment its really close but Fortnight probably wins just because I've played it hundreds of times

Ariana Grande - "hate that i made you love me"
This is SO CATCHY. I LOVE the pre-chorus and the chorus is also amazing. The "I-I" melody is amazing

Ariana Grande - "hate that i made you love me"
Every time I read this single title I get Let You Love Me by Rita Ora stuck in my head. Idk why and I don't even like that song so I'm keen to have the real song stuck in my head hopefully once it comes out.
