Another top 40 hit for PCD, but this time

independently and in a completely different music industry climate. Can yall say legends? :sistrens:

Harry still top 10 nine weeks in. Legend. I wish he could snatch a week at #1 but it's not gonna happen

Physical #11 is annoying btw :doc:

I thought Physical was #1 last week? :deadbanana2: It was only #12?

Not even close :rip: it’s a massive non event here

Physical will get the full push once Don't Start Now is done peaking, it's still #1 on the UK Radio Airplay Chart. That's a horrific debut for React though, yikes. Omg yes at You Should Be Sad rising!

Yikes? Horrific where? An independent release, their first in over ten years and first in the streaming era, no radio support, bottom of the barrel playlisting for a girlband with members in their 40s. How exactly is top 30 horrific in 2020? It literally out-debuted singles by current big artists under major labels...

The only reason I'm saying it was bad because it was predicted to debut at like #12 midweek.

It was predicted at #15 on the sunday "midweek" update but it was obvious it was gonna fall with no major playlisting changes, chart experts had it dropping right outside the top 40 in the beginning of the week so it actually managed to outdo expectations. If we look at the metric that was prominent during their hey-day, which are sales and downloads, it debuted at #2 on that chart, only behind the song that's #1 on the main chart as well. For a single that was clearly intended to just keep their audience somewhat fed/hyped for the tour I still don't see how it's anywhere horrific, it's actually a great result for them.
