No sis. For the sale to count, the t-shirt will have to be its normal price + $3.49 which is the lowest an album have to cost to count on Billboard. That's what I understood.

2. And all items' individual prices are lower than the bundle sale.. say $3 for a tshirt and $3 for an EP.. sold as $3.49 for tshirt+CD.. then it'll be counted

Merch bundles require them to be sold on the artist's official store, and ALL items in the bundle must be available separately also. The price of the bundle must also be higher than the price of the original merch. Therefore, if your tshirt is $10, then your tshirt + album bundle has to be more than $10 (likely $13.49 minimum because $3.49 is the lowest a standalone album can go for)

This is, or I guess was the case for all Republic Record artists btw 

 

OT - I thought the biggest change would be tour bundles. That seems to be the problem imo

I interpreted it wrong at first..

The bundle will only be counted,if:

1. The merchandise and album can be bought separately in the same store/website

2. The bundle price should be merchandise's price + $3.49.. meaning if the website is selling a $5 shirt.. the bundled album with tshirt should cost at least $8.49 in order to be counted

Well to have more sales but now that it will be $3.49 more expensive less people will buy it. Billboard did great choices They still need to go harder in tour bundles IMO though.

Because the album price is already included with the ticket. The albums aren't free with a ticket and you can buy them separately already. 

How are these not the rules since the beginning? 

 

Should've just removed merch bundles altogether

tour bundles are just as fraudulent. the rule should apply as well.

I mean its pretty common sense

Sketchy.. could be just a gimmick to give free albums.. which is great but still sketchy for charts..
