Is JayZ certifying his songs?

Awww poor baby

I like him/the song but its literally impossible since RIAA doesn’t count user generated videos where a **** ton of the song’s streams come from. The numbers don’t add up when you count the song’s official audio/video streams only. :rip:

It was going to happen eventually but still...

They dont:

Only official label/company videos count towards certification, User Generated Videos do not.

Billboard counts Insights views (aka the ones including the user-generated videos) but they never count for a song’s certification. :toofunny2:

Literally how then
1M pure
250M on US Spotify = 1.6M units
Lets say 350M on AM/other streaming services (idk how accurate that is) = 2.3M units
= 4.9M units (lets say 5xPlat without YT)
So it needs 750M streams on US Youtube WITHOUT user generated videos to be eligible for diamond.
I just counted the views on his channel (lyric vid, MV, audio, visualizer etc) and and its at around 615M streams WW YT
So even if 100% of the views are from the US it shouldnt be eligible for diamond :rip:
And while it is fairly local on YT lets say 70% of the views are from the US (huge numbers, probably lower) = 430M~ streams on US Youtube = 2.87M units
So with my generous calculations (not counting user generated views) i have it at 7xPlat eligible (close to 8xPlat) :rip:

As time goes on, these certifications will mean less and less. :katie:

Lmao exactly, even if you count the song’s WW views it still wouldn’t be enough for diamond and put it at 8x Platinum at best. :toofunny2:

Guess they just got the certification early for the buzz or something cause it was gonna take a few more months. :skull:
