  1. Paid stream vs free stream. This is why Apple Music streaming equals more units for Billboard and RIAA. Spotify been around a lot longer and the music sounds better on Spotify to me so I can’t say I’m surprised. I use Spotify more than I use Apple. I don’t know why I’m paying for both tho 😭
  2. Beyoncé already grossed 100m from the renaissance tour. Make room. She’s at least coming for the 4th spot depending on how many shows she wants to add
  3. Hurt her ability to perform but it helped the public reception for why it wasn’t as show stopping.
  4. It’s Madonna so I think people will like it but the Madonna show started so promising and then it fell into unnecessary guests. Personally, I prefer Rihanna’s.
  5. This simply can’t be true. She’s local. It’s all a PR stunt. It’s smoke & mirrors. She hasn’t had a global hit since Telephone. Surely the Local Chanteuse isn’t doing global touring numbers like this 20+ years into her career.
  6. Adele, Rihanna, Beyoncé, and Taylor were kinda the MPG 2014 and on which was the rise of streaming. We cycled between who was the 5th (Ariana usually). We just never really had a term for it since we used Main Pop Girls for usually Brit/Bey/Rih/Gaga/Katy lol.
  7. the remix is still gaining on AM. I expect this to have some longevity in the top 10. Both the Cuff It Remix and AHAP are starting to take off on TikTok.
  8. Neither. Rihanna is a decent performer with the ability to put on a good show. But, performances were never the make or break for her success. She’s much more known as simply a hit maker and as long as it’s decent (which it will be), the show will do it’s job as a certified stamp of decade long amazing hit-making career before she became an entrepreneur. So, I don’t think it will be a huge boost for her, but I don’t think it will tarnish anything. She’s already solidified atp with or without SB.
  9. You can add Rihanna to the list as well probably because she made euro friendly dance-music and leaned more pop pre-Unapologetic. But yeah, they call almost every black artist local.
  10. JT was definitely on the path to legend status after 20/20 experience, and he was considered Beyoncé's male counterpart. Usher is probably the other closest male version but he’s considered more akin to the Aaliyah/Brandy/Monica time than the late 90s teen influx. In my opinion, Beyoncé lasted longer than JT because she knew when to stop appeasing commercial radio. Even though people made fun of her lack of pop hits last decade, it’s almost like her moving away from it made her more appealing to the masses and pop radio at times too. After a certain amount of time on top, people will turn and when that happened with 4 she threw the rulebook out the window. Which is why she’s not dependent on them like others.
  11. I think this will definitely be a grower. It’s slowly gaining on Tik Tok too. It’s going to help Cuff It’s longevity a lot.
  12. Right. The Hive on TikTok/Twitter made it a thing to increase sales. Fortunately, Beyoncé is so in demand for the tour some people fell for it LMAO. But either way, the remix has been viral for a long time and people have been begging for it. People miss R&Bey. I think it was just perfect coincidences.
  13. Isn’t AM like accumulative? It might take a bit of time to get to moving on AM.
  14. If this has insane longevity, it wouldn’t be impossible for the YE top 10 I think. Hopefully, the remix gives it a good boost for weeks to come. The original is still gaining on pop and the remix can help it regain on Urban and Rhythmic radio.
  15. This is without website sales estimate which is what this thread is discussing. We will get better estimates with time. Also, Anti-Hero counts for YE 2023 Calendar chart. However, it is not the biggest pure sales in 2023. That would be Flowers I believe as of right now.
  16. I don’t think they’re louder they’re just pettier because they have to find petty things to drag about. Success, Talent, Acclaim, Longevity, Adoration. Giselle has it all, so they have to throw tantrums about irrelevant things unfortunately.
  17. We were told it was all smoke and mirrors. A PR scam. Nobody cares about her. She’s not global. I mean, FAKE SALES out of nowhere too.
  18. I do not get why these people want Beyoncé to be homophobic so bad when there’s a reason she’s so loved by gays ESPECIALLY gays of color. She’s always acknowledged her popularity amongst LGBTQ+ even before this album. She’s known since the beginning of her solo career. She’s always said she’s grateful for how much the queer community loves her. She’s never been homophobic even the slightest. None of this is comparable to Harry, an obvious straight man, letting it linger that he could be Queer when we’ve only seen him date white women.
  19. It’s a lot of delusions and projections in this thread. The answer is very simply. It’s not a palpable album to the white mass of voters. It’s really just that. Beyoncé’s closest one was probably IASF but Fearless one which is probably the most deserved loss. Other than that, BEYONCÉ wasn’t the genre they usually vote for. Lemonade was considered to genre bending. The Academy’s track record for dance music isn’t too great for Renaissance. Beyoncé simply doesn’t make music the academy will award in the all genre category as its opposed to the genres and styles they WANT for an all combined winner. She’s more forward thinking. They’re more conservative. If Beyoncé wanted to, she could make an album with only 2-3 writers. She’s done it before. But she would have to make the music ass basic as possible.
  20. That’s why I think it isn’t impossible that Britney could reach Beyoncé’s status. Of course, she would have blockage that Beyoncé wouldn’t (DC was never truly considered a part of the late 90s teen pop wave. So they were more respected and so was Beyoncé). She was gaining more artistic control (I would also say ITZ garnered her more respect) until after Blackout. Ultimately, Beyonce simply had a drive that others didn’t. Even in DC, the group differed from the 90s R&B girl group counterparts by always stating they themselves contributed to their musical output. They reminded you in almost every interview that Beyoncé was writing or in the studio for every track released. They do to this day by even members who left. Imo, Beyoncé's greatness lies in her ability streamline a concept into an era. Britney didn’t do that as much, but she did have a passion of music that would and did take her far even with her issues.
  21. Beyoncé has sold more in records by a way larger number and the box office numbers are almost equivalent so.
  22. Fill stadiums? Possibly. However, I doubt she would reach the same level of acclaim. Beyoncé was always more respected than Britney in artistry & talent.
  23. She’s right and she should say it.
  24. You can also hear her prolong notes that don’t align perfectly with the rhythm (obviously for musicality) but it’s not shocking that they don’t understand actual vocal talent.
