Target did the same **** to Beyoncé with Self Titled because she gave the exclusive to Apple.  Why you think all other exclusives she’s done since have been SHORT or non-DSP related (HBO, Netflix).     But Self Titled was an EVENT so it didn’t matter anyways.

She also attacked spotify during Travis vs Nicki week on twitter just because they had Travis track higher on TTH or something similar. She burned the bridges and she is the only one responsible for it. Spotify fully supported chun-li and bed but she went on attacking rampage when Queen debuted at #2 blaming everyone in industry

it always happens indeed, when Gaga released the John Wayne video on AM, after that when it went on youtube it literally got 0 algorithm, I remember its visibility being abysmal and so were its views. 

 

OT: She is really stupid for not getting on the good graces with Spotify tho..   She can't survive only off AM and she isn't big enough to have Spotify kiss her ass like they did with Drake even though he was giving AM exclusives.

Ok, but why did she attack Spotify? Because they were already being unfair to her.  There’s so much **** that goes in behind the scenes (which I know b/c I work in the biz), so they probably already informed her she wasn’t getting much support on Queen moving forward. 

 

Beyonce is just too polite to do it (I mean she kinda took a dig after the fact on EIL).  But Nicki is uncouth and doesn’t care   I’m not saying it’s right to burn bridges.  But what Nicki is talking about is NOTHING NEW. Y’all favs just swallow it...and don’t bring it to GP attention.  

 

A lot of so called “flops” aren’t because people don’t like the song...it’s because the gatekeepers are forcing things to go a certain way.

Yup...that’s another example.  

 

And I 100% agree.  Queen Radio is great to some extent, but when she REALLY starts her new era (since “Megatron” apparently a one-off single)...she really need to drop the Queen Radio schtick...or go find another similar platform that’s not on a DSP.  Because she’s actually really entertaining, but it’s at the expense of her music career lol
