That's not an accomplishment for a 2017 song featuring Taylor Swift, ED SHEERAN and Future. :dies:

I wonder what the swiftie that made the thread about The Cure has to say about this :rip:

Anyway, congrats to the queen of tours, the song would be great without Ed Sheeran.

Still platinum, top 20 and a bop.

Oh wow tea! Ed Sheeran's verse is not on Taylor or Future's level.

Wish it was Rihanna and Drake tho.

Remember when people thought this song was going to take over the world.

Glad this song flopped. Ed didnt deserve this hit.

It's beyond me how it flopped, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran and the song barely scratched top 20. It's a bop tho.

Her most boring video, literally no storyline whatsoever.

And it could have easily gone #1 if released before the album. :deadbanana4:

Should've been the first single to be honest.

Ed and Future never put it on their This Is playlists.

Her biggest flop

I think New Year's Day replaces The Story of Us and New Romantics for this title.

NYD wasn’t a single. When it comes to wasted potential End Game is truly her biggest flop. Overall it’s obviously either The Story of Us, New Romantics or Tim McGraw.

It flopped because everyone expected the Ed Sheeran collab. It wasn’t exciting or fresh. She tried to throw Future in there for the element of surprise but somehow that felt expected too. It was way too calculated.

I’m still surprised this flopped considering both Ed and Future was smashing during the time this track was released, the MV was great as well and looked high budget

The video is a mess. Too many setups, too dark, none of them were actually well shot. It would've been so much easier and better to make a creatively simple video with multiple shots of one great scene.

It had hit potential written all over it. It's crazy that it did so poorly in comparison to other singles

NYD was sent to Country radio in a similar way like Should've Said No did. No official music video, one genre on radio only.

Let's accept the fact.

It flopped because they handled this single horribly.

It had so much hype during album release, but impossible to buy the track individually, and unavailable on streaming platforms for 3 weeks. When finally available, hype was all gone.

If they released End Game along with the MV before the album (instead of RFI MV ), it would have gone #1 100%.

Anyway, thanks to this, now she knows streaming is too powerful.

Thought this had something to do with the superior Endgame, out in theatres April 26.

Idk what yall say this is my fav reputation song + the music video is amazing it makes me want to be skinny, beautiful & rich :rip:
