Wanna explain why Foo Fighters are already slipping on Alt? It's all because of Dirty Commie Mike Kaplan and his heavy-handed changes that were foisted on the Entercom Alts that were made in September of last year.

That Shame Shame song should be threatening #1 (or at least Top 5).

What? Do you have more info? But what do they have against FF? Yeah, it's hella weird since the song is killing it on both Mainstream Rock and Active Rock.

Explainer on Entercom's changes that massively impact the Alternative chart, via Inside Radio:

Quote

All of the company’s 21 country stations will air new national, Entercom-produced shows in middays and nights. At alternative, the company’s top shows are being expanded to other markets, resulting in fewer locally-based hosts, while a new national show will be heard in nights.

Yeah SS is T 2 Active/Mainstream Rock & AAA, but barely T 10 Alternative. Since AR & Alt are/sound more similar, SS barely going T 10 Alt makes almost 0 sense.

The Birmingham & Tuscaloosa Country stations have followed the same playlists at the same time for parts of 2020. I'm back on Pandora so don't know if its still true.

It had like 3m on radio first day so it only needed to do 3m+ to not have a rolling effect. Didn’t Me! Do 20m first day?

The race to #1 is on   Levitating has the sales/streams, Lonely has the callouts/Shazam/sales, Bang! also has great callouts, Go Crazy is crazy successful on other formats, Billie is doing okay across all metrics and 34+35 has the best streams. I could see all of them getting there tbh.
