Pillowtalk, SOTT, Slow Hands, and STD all passed SOML sales and I think Adore You will end up passing it as well. 1D never was that big in terms of singles, except for WMYB which was sort of a monster. Their strength was in albums and tours and overall presence. For instance TMH and Four didn’t have any standout singles. It’s very similar to the BTS phenomenon in that sense, though obviously by singing in English some of 1D’s singles did moderately well.

Songs below #30 at AC can hang around for literally years. Party Rock Anthem never climbed high on AC, but PRA was in & out of the bottom 10 slots for years. Die A Happy Man did so too.

not sure it even charted at AC during 2016 but interesting to see it there now. probably would not have happened if the working from home thing was not going on.
