I had made a remark about 3 Country stations adding Shinedown's Searchlight. Well, Birmingham's WZZK just played a Country version of Searchlight. So I guess they're really sending this out. WZZK is aggressive in playing "out of the norm" Country hits though.

Why is it hard for some people to grasp the idea that Taylor's album was the most successful album in years and the first single was a mega smash followed by a big hit! Is there a reason for radio not to push the third single from that album? Even if its streaming is not that great! Payola fraud? As if the album has collapsed or is not in the top20 of Billboard 200... If you want to channel your Taylor hate do it with other ways... It's normal for radio to play her singles!

This is a follow up to two major radio and streaming hits. ET is obviously doing poorly on streaming, but it's actually not unusual at all for radio to embrace an additional single after two hits that also did very well at callouts.

I think the label is pushing the needle to get an official top 10 peak, but we've already had multiple worse examples of this this year alone. Not unique to Taylor. The success of her first two singles actually makes it much more reasonable.

The "hard to grasp" part is not that ET not getting some push at radio BUT the obvious "timely" opportunistic payola push after I Just Might & Olivia song started to fall & after Yukon forced push to #1.

If it is genuine interest because the song getting good callouts OR goodwill from the two previous #1s, then this push would have happened much much much earlier when Opalite started to drop/go recurrent. This odd timing, is just too obvious, especially after Yukon sudden meteoric rise & fall
