The bigger issue is Ari doesnt have a radio deal. If she has a radio deal then this song woul easily get #1 by closing the gap on radio The spin & audience gains on radio is okay but not impressive.

The "hard to grasp" part is not that ET not getting some push at radio BUT the obvious "timely" opportunistic payola push after I Just Might & Olivia song started to fall & after Yukon forced push to #1. If it is genuine interest because the song getting good callouts OR goodwill from the two previous #1s, then this push would have happened much much much earlier when Opalite started to drop/go recurrent. This odd timing, is just too obvious, especially after Yukon sudden meteoric rise & fall

I believe Joanne were the phase she wanted to write something different from her previous albums because of insecurity from Artpop era. Mainly to test water because she has nothing to lose even if it flops (because Artpop era already a "flop" for her)
