Ed Sheeran urged to drop Macklemore from tour, Pink shares post demanding apology
And you see that as a good thing? How? People should be allowed to have an opinion, even if you disagree with it. Thoughtcrime was supposed to be a warning of a dystopian future, but little by little it's becoming a sad reality of public discourse in the 2020s...

Spotify | Katy Perry - The One That Got Away | WW: #3 new peak
I love this song, but it also shows how awful 2020s music really is that we're looking back at 2010s music and making it chart again. What happened this decade? Other than Sabrina, Dua and some Taylor, pop music has really gotten so boring.

Mayor Mamdani bans the use of AI in NYC public schools, grades K through 8
Banning AI isn't really a long-term solution. Whether we like it or not, the genie is out of the bottle and AI is here to stay. It's better to teach kids when to use it and how to use responsibly. As a matter of fact, you're doing a huge disservice to kids by not teaching them how to use it, as more and more jobs will REQUIRE it in the future.

Does her saying this actually do anything or is it just empty virtue signaling?

No one does camp like Glenn Close. I can't wait to see what she does with this role.

Ed Sheeran urged to drop Macklemore from tour, Pink shares post demanding apology
I think a lot of people co-opted the Palestinian cause as a tool to spread their hatred for Jewish people and Israel as a whole (Candace Owens for example). I'm glad celebrities are finally getting some pushback after years and years of spewing the most hateful anti-Semite rhetoric.

Why does Katy Perry still have the most popular solo female song on Spotify?
Because it's a really GOOD SONG. Any old-ish good song has the potential to become a smash hit once it's re-discovered by younger listeners.

Honest Vocal Coach: "Is it time to quit?"
For a so-called "vocal coach" I always thought her knowledge of singing was pretty limited. She would rather praise popular acts like Taylor Swift who aren't great vocalists, and ignore great singers. The problem is that she wanted to be seen as an expert...

Sam Smith ends the Hazel Eyes era
More like The Hazel Eyes ended THEM! Sam's career is over! I don't think they'll ever recover from this. They've been thoroughly and utterly rejected by audiences worldwide.

Katy Perry's concert film flops, fans enjoy the empty theaters
Even Beyoncé's Renaissance concert flopped. What made Katy think her movie wouldn't flop? The 4 Katycats left can't fill cinemas across the nation.

Lindsay Clancy Trial: copycat mom kills baby in solidary with Lindsay
So is every woman who murders her kids going to claim they were experiencing psychosis now? This is soooooo deeply disturbing. I've no words for it.

Ansel Elgort dragged for wearing Japanese attire to Korean cultural event
It's sometimes better to play it safe rathe than risk offending people's culture. I don't think anyone would've cared if he wore a basic black suit.

Lindsay Clancy Trial: copycat mom kills baby in solidary with Lindsay
The issue here is not whether a woman can experience postpartum psychosis. The problem is that the defense wasn't able to prove LINDSAY experienced it, while the prosecution was able to show how she carefully and meticulously planned the whole thing. Her medical records show that she was experiencing issues, but there's a long way from having issues to actually going through a psychotic break that makes you unable to distinguish right from wrong. That's the only way a person can be found NGRI. I'm glad that sole juror stood his ground because it would've been an outrageous miscarriage of justice had she been found not guilty. She did it. She planned it. She was not going through a psychotic break while she strangled her children, one by one, for minutes. She's clearly sick in the head, but not in a way that makes her not guilty or unable to distinguish right from wrong at the moment of the killings.

Lindsay Clancy Trial: copycat mom kills baby in solidary with Lindsay
That's a separate issue. Of course someone who murders her own kids and tries to kill herself is not in the right mind. But that doesn't mean they aren't legally responsible for the crime they committed. The defense needs to prove by clear and convincing evidence the person didn't understand the nature of the act and couldn't tell right from wrong. The fact Lindsay premeditated the murders so her husband would be far away proves she was aware that what she was about to do was wrong. There's also no medical record to back up the insanity / psychosis claim.

Lindsay Clancy Trial: copycat mom kills baby in solidary with Lindsay
This is a very controversial case for no reason really. She's guilty. She deliberately and meticulously planned the muder of her own kids. She sent her husband to run two separate errands, calculated the time it would take him, and then strangled her kids, which would've taken minutes for each kid, in cold blood. How can someone believe she did all that under a state of psychosis? Besides, she never once was diagnoses with post-partum psychosis prior to the murders. It was all made-up. Same with the supposed voices she was hearing, which started right before she murdered her children and went away right after. I hope there's a second trial and she's found guilty and ends up rotting in jail.

Sam Smith's Hazel Eyes debuts with 6.5k (3.5 pure sales) units in the US
@Yog It's fine if you respect it, but you are one of the few left who do. Sam has no career anymore. Failing to even chart on the Billboard 200 is not something you can easily come back from. Even Demi, who has had insane up and downs in her career, managed to chart with her latest album (#9). Sam blew up their career. I think there was some middle ground between Sam being their authetic self and not being so off-putting for general audiences. Think of the music video for "Diamonds." That's a good middle ground that would've allowed them to express themself while still being palatable to general audiences. Image matters as much as sound in today's music. Sam is a very talented vocalist, but if the image they present to the public is so unpleasant, that's really going to hurt their career. And it did. I don't understand why Sam didn't realize there was no going back from presenting themself in such a particular way.

Elliot Page speaks out about difficulty of landing acting roles despite the Odyssey
I can't imagine there are many roles that a 5'1" man can play, really. Trans or not. Hunter Schafer doesn't have any issues getting cast in half a dozen roles. But she looks like a supermodel. It's not going to be easy for someone who looks like Elliot to ever be cast again in most male roles (action hero, romantic interest, etc)

Icon Gal Gadot calls out DC for how they treated Wonder Woman and Henry Cavill.
She's not wrong. Gunn handled everything soooo bad. And all for what? A movie that underperformed theatrically A mediocre show and one extremely mild hit (Peacemaker and Lantern) And a movie that made them lost 200 million Congrats, DC! You're doing great!

An AI-generated song is very close to reaching #1 on the UK chart
Very dystopian. I feel like AI is taking over the world and we won't even know what's real and what's not in a few years. It was like opening Pandora's Box.

Sam Smith moves 50M CSPC
This only proves how big Sam was, and how insane the drop was. They totally tank their career in a way that's hard to describe.
