JADE - 'THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY!'
Omg. I couldn't resist at the time and I listened to the leaks. But the new versions of the tracks are even better than before, they bring something special, deeper & richer. What a debut! Strong debut. I was in love with BYBMH, I adore it even more now. She HAS to come to Paris!

Rank these 21st century pop girl peaks from biggest to smallest
Adele (2011-12) Lady Gaga (2009-10) Taylor Swift (2023-24) Katy Perry (2010-12) Rihanna (2007-08) Beyoncé (2008-09) Ariana Grande (2018-19) Billie Eilish (2019-20) Dua Lipa (2020-21) Olivia Rodrigo (2021-22) Again, I take the GP as an indicator. Adele definitely #1. But I'd place Gaga #2 because at the time it was difficult not to see her on TV, magazines and Internet due to her outfits and attitude (her music was big too). Then Taylor which is on par with Gaga, the medias had to talk about her at the time. I'd put Perry, Riri and Beyoncé after because their impact were big but not all the population was exposed, it was still pop girls having hits after hits but we have to remember that the GP has people that aren't exposed to pop or don't watch mv, old people etc. Ariana had a big era with impact thanks to the music, her voice and the visuals but it was bigger for the young people that for the GP I think. Same for Billie but more "Internet centered" as for the streaming era, she didn't have to promote her music on TV or what so I think a lot of GP people couldn't put a face or name her since she never appeared on their regional or local media. Finally, Dua had a big era during the pandemic but it was very pop and young people oriented. Olivia had a huge arrival on the scene but it was very huge for teens and young people, not for the GP.

Adele is #1 by far. Ask a 70yo, parents, millenials and kids to sing a song from 21, they will or will recognise Someone Like You/Rolling In The Deep. It's the only era of those above that had that impact. Of course, I'm talking about music primarily. If I consider the business/media impact, Taylor/Eras Tour could be a pretender.

Tate got a No. 1 before Dua. What does this tells us about the state of the industry?
Can you/someone tell more about this story? I wasn't aware about it, I didn't know she was sabotaged and what impact it had on her/Levitating?

What is the most recent "blockbuster" album?
What's a blockbuster album? For all the albums you listed, ask your grandma, your neighbours, your boss etc if they know the singer and what they look like, one of the songs, if they can hum something from it. That's a blockbuster album, a cultural impact for all age groups and all socio-economic classes. Many people can't identify Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo or SZA.

What is the most recent "blockbuster" album?
It's 25. There is no album after this that are known by all generations, grandparents, parents, Gen Z etc etc. No one could escape the launch of the album and Hello.
