Artists with the most unlucky chart peaks?

Featured Replies

I'll start with an obvious one:

New Rules #6 in the US

Don't Start Now #2 in the UK and the US

Levitating #2 in the US

Love Again #41 in the US

Dance The Night #6 in the US

Houdini #2 in the UK and #11 in the US

Radical Optimism #2 in the US

I mean... enough already!!

This wasn't because of bad luck, she wasn't an albums artist ^^   OT: Christina Aguilera almost managed to chart in 2017 when she came back with a Demi Lovato collaboration, it peaked at #1

Madonna's ROL and Rebel Heart were blocked by soundtrack albums :suburban:

And don't forget The Immaculate Collection getting blocked by Vanilla Ice :dies::chick1:

Rihanna's first number 1 album being Unapologetic is actually pretty unlucky.

She was blocked by all these has beens, it's terrifying. The landscape was also more competetive I think, plus her opening numbers were consistently growing from release to release, but were never great, too.

Came to say Dua, she's been done so dirty her whole career like wtf!? :fish2:

Especially Levitating, I don't think any of us Dua stans will get over that one unless she eventually gets a #1. It was truly robbed of its rightful peak at #1, but thankfully it got ha revenge and went #1 on the YEC :gayalipacat4:

Also Houdini deserved top 10, the US can choke with its terrible taste

Also don't even get me started on that trash Jack Harlow song blocking Houdini from #1 in the UK

Little Mix's #2 for Confetti in the UK. Kylie blocked them, fair enough but my girlies were selling soooo good. The album released a week earlier woulda been #1 easily.

Madonna in the 90s :suburban:

#2 The Immaculate Collection

#2 I'm Breathless

#2 Erotica

#2 I'll Remember (single)

#2 Evita

#2 Ray Of Light

#2 Frozen (single)

#11 The Power Of Good-Bye (single)

She also has twelve #2 hits in the U.K. - the most of any act in history.

OT: Christina Aguilera almost managed to chart in 2017 when she came back with a Demi Lovato collaboration, it peaked at #1 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100. One position higher would have been enough to have a song charting on the Hot 100 !

Rihanna_-_Loud.png

Loud debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200 chart, with first-week sales of 207,000 copies in the United States, giving Rihanna her highest first-week sales in the US at that time.

This is unluck af.

For being a legend, Beyoncé's numbers are very disappointing

my babes Billie and Lana :monkey:

Omg I agree with Billie. If she wouldn't have been able to squeeze one week at #1 with bad guy after Old Town Road she would still not have any #1s on the Hot 100 which is crazy :skull:

Charlie Puth

Us Pop Radio:

We Don't Talk Anymore #11

One Call Away #11

Light Switch #11

Left & Right #11

Spoiler

How did WDTA not go top 10 on Pop Radio? It was a huge hit and peaked at #9 on the Hot 100. Guess he didn't need Radio payola to get into the top 10. :clap3:

This made me go check how many UK #2s Kylie has and she has 11. Not she being #2 for the most #2s too :'(

I always felt it was the case with Demi Lovato but I have no data to back it up

Doja in a way, Planet Her was huge but couldn't hit number one with any of the five singles despite three peaking in the top 10 and two in the top 20. (You Right also peaked at no. 11 just missing the top 10 :deadbanana:)

If you merely looked at the billboard stats it would seem like a non-event when it was one of the biggest female eras of the decade so far.

I remember that chart battle between Planet Her & SOUR when the Doja fans were already attacking Olivia only for Billie to end up #1 at the end :suburban:

Billie this era has been one #2 after another with the album, singles, year end positions etc

All of Madonna's 90s albums except of Erotica spending multiple weeks at #2 :suburban:

#2 I'm Breathless 3 weeks

#2 The Immaculate Collection 2 weeks

#2 Evita 2 weeks

#2 Ray Of Light 2 weeks

#2 Erotica

And all of them actually being just few k away from #1  :suburban:
