I just now realized this woman and Jessie Reyez are not the same person. I was ignoring the threads about her on here because I just cannot STAND Jessie Reyez. Glad to know they're not the same person! Now at least I know this song won't be as terrible as it could have been.

i think it is one of the worst . i don't get the appeal of it.

I hate Morgan Wallen's "I'm The Problem" and Drake's "NOKIA" more for their content. Still can't believe the general public is rewarding Drake with another hit post-"Not Like Us", let alone with a half-assed song that comes across as a 38-year old man hitting up on young college girls at a club.  Such a waste of an otherwise really creative and fun beat.

 

Wallen's "Love Somebody" and "Smile" are exceedingly dull and uninspired, so I'd also rate them higher than "Blue Strips" on my worst list. But Jessie Murph definitely brought us our first entertainingly bad hit song of 2025. I don't think a white woman emulating bad gal Rihanna on a country-trap beat was something anyone was asking for. 

 

Shout-out to KATSEYE's "Gnarly" as another hilariously awful 2025 release, though not necessarily a hit yet. This one's been living rent-free in my head as of late.
