  1. Ugh. I had no idea Kida went through that experience as well, her feature on Lovely Sewer was so gorgeous. Maybe it's for the best his brain's been too cooked by drugs to put out any new music in years if this is the **** he gets up to.
  2. Rationally I know Millionaire deserves it but my heart has been for Caught Out There since I first heard it at like 8 years old. I was singing "I HATE YOU SO MUCH RIGHT NOW HHAAAAAAUAAAGGH" at school so often the teacher got worried I was being abused
  3. Gays treating top and bottom as a replacement gender binary isn't even subtext anymore. This **** was supposed to be left behind with the heteros.
  4. lemme translate "It's not about tickets, mate. You treated me like a fan and a knobhead. I'm not a fan. I would've done more for someone who looked after me in jail. I drove 8 hours, just for you to treat me like some dick. Tickets? Wow. I wanted loyalty, not tickets."
  5. It's Reverie. But honorable mention to the little-known Spira!
  6. Boy band? A British one? In 2026? What's the catch? Are they all gay?
  7. Who do I talk to about thaT music video for The Bridge?
  8. I feel like if she gets any more involved and tries to use this for her brand (turning "laughing at" into "laughing with") she's going to kill the entire meme stone dead.
  9. I wasn't feeling the start but the call-and-response towards the end is actually nostalgic as **** for some reason, especially with the video. Maybe it's just her wig.
  10. An iconic and talented woman known as April Harper Grey who's honestly making much better music than Charli atm.
  11. Yeah don't listen to him. Obviously he hates her guts, but this is him framing his own billionaire greed/egomania as some kind of moral crusade against what "woke mind virus" supposedly did to his child. Everyone spinning it into headlines is doing his work for him.
  12. He snapped with this I fear https://x.com/i/status/2060685290386157846
  13. Why does the post need to be this long in the first place if your ideas don't take that long to sum up? All the computer's done is pad them out with verbal spam.
  14. It's okay, but imo if you're declaring the dancefloor is dead and you're pivoting to rock, you ought to come out with something much harder hitting. It doesn't actually sound a lot like rock or even that different from what she was already doing. House was a much bigger genre shift and everyone loved that.
  15. Love to hear Pink on one of the best beats ever made. AI slop visualiser though 🥀
  16. Charli and Twigs working it out on the...Jack Antonoff remix? Did a24 see the film had 'MOTHER' in the title and just throw darts at names gay people know
  17. Is there a...source for this comment at all? What did she actually say? Is anyone even remotely interested in knowing before dogpiling her?
  18. I had no idea her album was out, thank you!
  19. Looked through this whole thread and no mention of Tainted Love? Maybe because the cover is good and different enough that people still don't know it is one.
  20. It's incredible how her homicidal attitude towards Arabs and Islam is near identical to that of every white supremacist nerd in the West, but she somehow found a way for anti-Blackness to be the excuse. Completely ignorant of the way this exact racist contempt and colonial dehumanisation have been deployed against Black people, to justify atrocities against them, for generations. Just doing white supremacy with superficial Black characteristics. Contemptible, twisted and disgusting.
  21. I'd love a Kelela collab, but knowing Bjork's track record with the N-word it might end in tragedy I fear
  22. Anyone can point to extremely famous, influential, long-dead philosophers and theorists like Hegel, Marx or Fanon, because they're so famous you'll learn who they are without needing to bother reading them, and they emerged at breakthrough moments in the history of modern society that can't be repeated. Currently living writers don't have the benefit of a long posthumous legacy, their work is diffused among the contributions of millions of others thanks to the proliferation of literacy and online access, and they're also living in a society that hasn't even overcome the challenges posed by the last set of "great thinkers", so their work inherently exists in the shadow of others and can never occupy the same position of world-historical importance. This is not a symptom of mankind having collectively lost its capacity for deep thought. Spend like an hour reading about Palestine, for example, and you will find people whose insight is breathtaking. But you have to actually care about and take an interest in the subject first. "Where have all the great thinkers gone" kind of sounds like the take of someone who doesn't read or engage with the current world, but just wants to be told who's famous and important enough to cite for clout. I certainly don't get the impression from her work or activity that she ventures much outside her bubble of high art and celebrity self-care. Love that for her but a dismissive attitude to the intellectual output of the rest of the planet is not warranted.
  23. Well that was the worst thing she's ever made I laughed at the line about rappers on her songs though.
  24. This was the point where she started coming up with extremely short melodic loops and just making them the entire song instead of developing a musical narrative. Listen to Blissing Me and notice how she sings virtually the same tune on every line for 5 straight minutes. The background twinkles and overdubs gradually pile up to distract you from the fact nothing is happening, the song goes nowhere. The moment that came out I knew it was a bad sign and sure enough, she's still doing it repeatedly on Fossora, at this rate she might be doing it for the rest of her career. I actually love Tabula Rasa and Future Forever because even though they do the same thing I just complained about, they're so slow and quiet that the result has much more emotional weight. It plays to their strengths, basically. (I think her 'attitudes' might have pissed off the reviewer more than the music there though ) The best song on the album is Losssssssss because A) the slow, steady beat makes it feel like a dramatic march or climb, and B) she swaps back and forth between two contrasting musical ideas (at 1:52 and throughout) which enhance each other and tell a story, instead of relying on just the one. What's truly clueless in this review is the claim this is anything like Vulnicura. Bish I would ******* KILL for her to write a song remotely like Stonemilker again
