  1. I'm going on the 26th, but I've been thinking of buying a last-minute ticket for one of the last shows, since we have a long weekend and I want to see the concert seated and enjoy the amenities. My friend and I will be lining up all day on the 26th because we have regular front stage, so I doubt we'll get to see much of the field.
  2. Proving wrong those detractors who were criticizing her for "only sharing" posts on her IG stories while she was spending time getting funds and coordinating resources behind the scenes to provide actual help through her foundation
  3. She should do a Papito and record new version of her hits with popular old and new artists so the younger generations discover how her catalogue is absolute killer. Her collab in "Nena" was a hit back in the day, so she should reuse that formula for herself. Then, release a great pop song and see if it catches on.
  4. I was going to say electronic/techno, but scratch that, make it rock/metal and I'll be lining up. Whatever she does, I know it'll be at least interesting. Or she could go the "Spanish roots" route and do traditional Spanish music that's not flamenco or classic guitar.
  5. They're very talented but they (except for Lara here, and Sophia who should've been there) don't have the vocal power you need to sing either Meg's or the muses' parts. And the pitch correction here is honoring Emma Watson's Belle, it seems.
  6. Legendary hit from a legendary group. Like Bohemian Rhapsody for Queen, it's not my favorite and I won't play it on my own, but I'll never not get life when it appears in the wild. Everyone who goes to Stockholm needs to visit the ABBA museum, seriously one of the most entertaining and fun museums I've ever visited.
  7. Since some of you like to compare her with Shakira and Bad Bunny, look at how Bad Bunny "flopped" when he released the Perro Negro album. Dating Kendall, throwing phones, with only Perro Negro hitting… And then, his biggest era, even surpassing UVST. And look at how many times Shakira manages to get successful singles and albums. You can never count out Latin artists, so no, she can repeak at any point, especially with her upcoming and already successful tour. I wish this was true, but she needs to stop trying to sing songs for people with strong vocal skills. Look at the Bruno Mars collab and her attempts at mariachi. Karol's great when she plays to her strengths.
  8. Contributing to those BbY WOW streams, it's perfect for the last bit of summer
  9. Because she hasn't made a proper album in 10 years, just playlists. Why make an effort and be artistic when you'll still get rewarded with Grammy nominations, wins, radio/streaming hits and a highly lucrative tour? I hate how she keeps winning despite her mediocrity, so I totally understand why you and your brethren get so pressed about her success. It's a hard pill to swallow.
  10. Anime just makes me feel old now, I keep hearing people talk about Freiren, Dandadan, Demon Slayer… and I want to watch stuff, but I can't be bothered after getting disappointed by the MESS that was Attack On Titan, so I end up rewatching Monster, Ouran or FMA:B every year. Most people still don't care for anime.
  11. Certain Shakira fans are petty and dumb, but you end up doing the same, so what's the point. Also, let's not forget Troquicoqueta's streaming success is pretty much due to one massive hit in SATHC, with other songs underperforming. Shakira had Te Felicito and Monotonía pre-release, Acróstico, and obviously Session 53. I don't care for Harry Styles and his boring music, but as long as he's selling out his tour, who cares about the album's popularity. KG's album is good and I hope it catches on with the public who is clearly not over how meh Tropicoqueta was.
  12. I'm too diabetic to drink regular pop. If I have to use insulin to eat ****, I'd rather eat more food I enjoy while drinking a Diet Coke on the side than wasting my insulin to curb 17392 grams of pure sugar. The other day I tried fountain Exotic Zero Fanta and it was a religious experience.
  13. I am the first to hate on Tropicoqueta, but the DTMF comparisons are stupid because they are two completely different projects: one is tied to Puerto Rican music and the other is an homage to a whole bunch of Latin American genres. What, were they both copying, idk, Luis Miguel's "México en la piel"?
  14. "Scrutiny" makes the topic impossible to avoid, but those of us who have known about Ariana's history regarding food and, mostly importantly, have eyes, don't need the "reports" to get triggered. I felt uncomfortable watching the opening scene of Wicked and I felt even worse after watching the tour videos. I know not to watch her and I won't criticize her for just being out there, working and living her life, but releasing the Petal video? Irresponsible. And everything surrounding her and trying to wave off what's obvious is the real trigger.
  15. She saw comments from OGH and decided to prove them wrong
  16. The only way Tropicoqueta is better than this album is in a parallel universe where Tropicoqueta is seven songs long. I really like the album! Like others said, it's very cohesive, the songs make sense with the overall message and damn, the heartbreak. It's a grower and the first three songs are a perfect combo. The Drake song is alright. The Bruno collab, though… It could be DWAS's sister and to me, it proves that its success was really a #ThankYouGaga, because while the instrumental is lovely (total anime ending song vibes), her vocals made the song what it is. Karol has lovely ballads, even in this album, but she just can't do power ballads because her vocals simply aren't enough, yet she insists and the result is underwhelming or downright mocked ("Vivo por ella"). I don't get the MATADORA hate. I loved it. Also, I LOVE "Bebiendo lágrimas".
  17. The cover reminds me of Paulina Rubio, I like it. Hoping for a good album after the underwhelming Tropicoqueta. Make me regret not going to the tour, KG!
  18. I like accessibility and I like to think that I'm a mature person, so I support anything that allows people to enjoy media. A well-done dub can be great.
  19. His behavior has been an open secret for two decades. I hope he finally gets his comeuppance, because pests like him will continue abusing girls until they die. All the support to the victims.
  20. I wonder if some of you know anything about Chileans, their online presence or who they voted as their latest president, or if we're just supposed to keep acting like Argentinians are the only with a reputation for being stuck-up racists in the continent. Rosalía should've said she loved Argentina and Venezuela to make it a double whammy for that audience
  21. Argentinians have been notoriously racist against the indigenous populations and immigrants from neighboring countries, such as Paraguay and Bolivia, and many public figures have been vocal about their perceived superiority over the rest of the continent, but most of you aren't looking for a nuanced discussion of the country's history and current system, you just want to feel superior and use the latest talking point that you saw on Twitter/TikTok—even down to mocking a country that has been a victim of corruption and economic strike for decades now. The fact that all of this Argentina discourse peaked during and after its match with Spain makes it ironic. Spain having black and brown people in their teams apparently makes some think the country and a big chunk of its society isn't disgustingly racist. Let me tell you how they speak about Lamine Yamal or the attitude toward Latin Americans… If the point is to genuinely fight racism, you shouldn't be supporting any of those teams. I wonder if the same level of hyper-focus would happen to Chile if they were also playing—
  22. Half of you all are acted deranged when it comes to Argentina. I guess the "German Argentinians are all Nazis who left after WWII" couldn't be the popular generalization for so long, now it's all about throwing "Zionism" around. And mocking the country's weak economy after decades of corruption, which has created an unprecedented migration wave, is very funny? And it coming from Americans when you're the first ones to be crying about whatever new disaster Trump came up with or Europeans with your own disasters at home. Mass delusions.
  23. It's been clear for years now that Ariana has issues with disordered eating, anyone who knows a bit about the topic and who's paid attention to her behavior since donut-gate would be able to tell you so (licking donuts and ranting about Americans being fat? Her posts showing her "meals" being a couple of berries? How she used to emphasize time after time how petite she was on Twitter?), but she's never been this thin, so now everyone wants to chime in to give their opinion. While I think it was irresponsible of her to say she was the healthiest she's ever been, since then she's asked people to stop commenting about her body. It's obvious she's too thin, it's obvious she isn't well, but none of us can do anything about it and harping on her body time and time again just for the sake of getting a comment out on social media isn't caring about her or showing concern. On the other hand, fans who try to deny reality to "defend" her are an actual problem, they are the ones normalizing unhealthy habits. Just quietly wish her well, tell people to mind their own business and move on.
  24. The way RTVE had a segment about this today, I've been keeping myself from consuming media from the concert because I'm seeing him in July and want to be unspoiled so I didn't know people were arguing over La casita. The segment also mentioned that the people from the public who get invited to it are mainly young, hot women… Wow, what a surprise. I'm a fan, but the way people glaze BB as if he was a real activist… People really do the most for men.
  25. Maybe Pixar is desperate after their latest series of underperformances, but they'll never get anything as iconic as Toy Story 3 (which stole the Oscar from How To Train Your Dragon, but…) in this series of movies.
