  1. It was a crime that the album underperformed and critics were doing the most to hate on her. I would have quit if something I put all my efforts to (think about the music, the VOCALS, the lyrics, the production) flopped. Mariah is a warrior.
  2. HFIA is still a very good album.
  3. Reducing an explicit racist celebration to 'football culture' is not gonna do it.
  4. This is so scary
  5. This thread has this many pages and I don't remember it. lol.
  6. Ronaldo of course. His popularity is multigenerational.
  7. Without ABBA, there wouldn't be pop music as we know it today.
  8. Ugh, I really feel sorry for all the things that happened to Venezuelan people. I am from Myanmar and I think a lot of people living in developed countries with a relatively stable politics don't understand what it is like to live in a country in shambles that is further attacked by natural disasters. When the coup happened and civil war broke out in Myanmar, the third wave of COVID struck the country and caused thousands of deaths. We thought things couldn't get worse. And then the 7.7M earthquake happened in 2025. The aftermath was devastating to say the least. The difference between countries like Japan and Myanmar/Venezuela is a lot, like a lot. Corruption ran deep hence we have poor quality buildings. They are reduced to pebbles after earthquakes. When it happened in Mandalay, we couldn't rescue those victims under the debris although we heard them calling out for help. Think about it! Help was not really affective. And then we have the inflation rate of 25% and above. We feel you Venezuela although we can't do much.
  9. In one video, I saw 'stacks' of concrete, which was an apartment building before the quake. There's no way the people in there survived. As someone living in a low quality building myself, we're living with fear.
  10. Stop posting jokes y'all. The Venezuela situation is a catastrophe. Beyond terrible.
  11. How come she has 663 tracks on Spotify? Different versions? Even veterans don't have that many.
  12. Agreed. I don't want to judge her lyrics. They are there for everyone to see, but her repetitive melodies have been drowning her output for quite a while.
  13. It's a mediocre song from her usual mill.
  14. The GP will remember those songs better than any Taylor Swift songs, which have samey melodies. Both have more than 1B streams on Spotify (Toxic has >1.9 B) and have better daily streams than some recent hits from Taylor Swift.
  15. She does. Taylor doesn't have a ubiquitous pop classic like BOMT or Toxic.
  16. Britney has more memorable songs than Taylor tho.
  17. No, because Taylor's fans have to come back to that song to remind them of how it sounds like because the melody is easily forgettable.
  18. It's not just the lyrics. How is she going to convince people her lyrics are personal when she's churning out some 40+ songs in like two years? And the melodies? Pretty much monotonous to put it mildly. Her limited vocal range also doesn't help. It seems like she's is bound to sing the same song for the nth time.

  20. They are not catchy. They are just repetitive. FIFA should have gone with something like 'waving flag' or 'we are the champions ' or even 'the cup of life ' for a change.
