2026 US Midterms Megathread 🇺🇸 Election November 3, 2026
anecdotal evidence re: Oklahoma gubernatorial race that ultimately means nothing concrete, but I've seen multiple attack ads against Cyndi Munson just this morning (watching local news to keep an eye on storms) which I really cannot recall seeing at all during our last two races. Realistically I know her path to victory is dangerously narrow and full of potholes and roadblocks at best, but this combined with that "solid R to likely" yesterday is making me think that maybe she's at least being seen as a threat I don't really think we'll flip, but maybe we're at least laying some groundwork into having a fighting chance again for future statewide offices.

Stephanie Mills - "Lady Gaga is a culture vulture"
I could've sworn someone on her team said she was no longer with us sometime between the dog napping and Mayhem, but I can't find it anymore so I might be wrong about that part

Stephanie Mills - "Lady Gaga is a culture vulture"
okay from the story Gaga was definitely cold and impolite in this situation (which was definitely years ago because Asia has been dead for a minute nvm might be wrong but Bobby has been her manager for over a decade and he's white) , but culture vulture… mama words have meanings! Ms. Mills you are a legend, you can just call her a ***** it's okay

Whitney, Mariah, Mary or Janet: whose music are you deleting?
just based on the fact that I've never dived into Mary beyond the classic singles, I'd have to go with her. Whitney has mostly weak album cuts, but the hits more than justify her spot. Mariah is an all-time fave of mine and Janet has several legendary bodies of work, so they're obviously safe.

Katy Perry parts ways with Chris Anokute
this is a good step in the right direction for her! obviously we'll have to wait and see what it actually means for her sound, but i'm cautiously optimistic. as fun as it can be to get a whack in at the state of her career since Witness, her pre-143 albums all had some gems amongst the filler.

Lady Gaga
Gagita is too busy editing the MBT footage by hand for a 2058 release and mothering 3 children (Rose, Haus Rats, the skincare whatever) to bother with Ryan Turdphy's latest disaster

Kristi Noem tries to drag Kacey Musgraves, Kacey snaps back and ends her
if i had easy clapbacks waiting on me I wouldn't be trying it with ANYONE, let alone a woman who was outspoken enough to stick to her guns () at the beginning of her mainstream career to the point of welcoming a radio ban because she stood by her beliefs can't imagine being evil AND stupid like the dogkiller

the way I didn't even get to check out *** Parade because her stupid ass did that right before the release too not that there's ever a good time for a transphobia reveal, but it was truly the most abysmal timing possible right between the collab and album
