  1. She'll probably catch a nomination in a minor category, but her low profile in the US basically doomed the chance of competing in the general field, let alone winning anything.
  2. Yeah, I think people are being way too generous to her. She's a dyed-in-the-wool Orange County conservative and though she's de-emphasized that at certain points of her career, it has always been the case. Her religious zealotry has motivated a lot of the decisions she's made throughout her career and this is just the most recent version of that, because there's a current cultural wave amongst women of her age and social class that's very pro-MAGA, hence Gwen presenting herself ever more as one of the Mar-a-Lago Barbie stereotypes that litter the female side of the Republican party. She's small-minded, provincial and conservative and always will be, no matter which dumb, racist hick is married to her.
  3. Golden kiwi are better for eating this way because they're not hairy on the outside, unlike the green ones. I wouldn't eat a green one with the outer flesh still on, but I do occasionally eat the golden ones without peeling.
  4. The 13th Amendment to the US Constitution has a carveout that allows forced labor in penal conditions and yes, it continues to have a direct downstream impact on the way the US judicial system incarcerates black Americans at disproportionate rates. Some states have banned forced labor independently in their state prison systems, but many have explicitly kept the carveout in place.
  5. The territory was uninhabited by humans of any nationality before the British claimed it, so your argument falls apart immediately. The British did not exterminate or forcibly relocate any existing population in the Falklands because there was nobody there to begin with. Argentina's claim to the territory is based on nothing but "Huh, that's kinda nearby and seems like it could be strategically important". There is zero cultural or historical basis for Argentine rule of the Falklands and the residents don't want it. Stop forcing your neo-colonialism down their throats.
  6. Incredibly weird behavior when an independence referendum was held in 2013. Of the 1500 votes they collected from residents at that time, there were only 3 votes in favor of Argentina taking over. Argentina thinks the Falklands are theirs, but the people who live there overwhelmingly do not.
  7. There were plans to release some outtakes from Friends in the Corner and The Kick as standalone singles, but they were scrapped and she moved onto new material instead. She also posted last year that she'd been diagnosed with autism and completely wiped her social media accounts of all content shortly after. She shared a few short snippets of new songs on Instagram in the last couple months, too. Might have some new stuff coming later this year.
  8. It's most likely one of the 8 extra songs that Madonna mentioned would come out at some point as part of a Confessions II deluxe/re-release.
  9. Tony is statistically the one that trips up the most musicians because it's such a different style, but Oscar is probably the one with the most prestige. Grammys for writing original music for media are whatever and Emmys are ultra-whatever.
  10. Would be a bit of a distraction from the narrative she created. She's looking inward on memories of her most difficult and important moments. Gaga isn't involved in that. They clearly respect each other now, so why waste time in the album "settling" long-expired beef?
  11. I'm pretty sure "Call My Name" was not for Rita. Calvin Harris said in an interview a few years ago that he wanted to do a song with Florence Welch as a vocalist and some kind of trade went on where his label had him make "Call My Name" for Cheryl and in exchange, he got to make "Sweet Nothing" with Florence. He even said the demo for "Call My Name" is in his vocals.
  12. Boredom. Xtina does nothing 99.99999% of the time, as she's a rude has-been, so they have nothing else to talk about.
  13. It's used to justify lazy, low effort trash about 95% of the time. Good music doesn't have to be complicated, but it does have to have some personality.
  14. Buttigieg is a bland centrist whose policies on everything other than gay marriage would have been considered outdated in like...2008. It's also clear you don't pay attention to polling, because he's NOT popular and the segments of the Democrat voting bloc that don't like him are never going to.
  15. No, she's a huge kissass whose entire existence as a media figure is predicated on holding the PR company line. No genuine journalism is occurring when she's interviewing someone. When a celebrity is speaking to her, they're basically just reciting a press release.
