  1. I suggest don't go ATVing with him when you're out west
  2. Canada Dry…oh he's still got it. Some other tracks are questionable as were the single choices but I'll forgive just for that CD outro
  3. The "we used to be a family that could actually talk about politics" sentiment so many bring up is so hilarious since that's quite literally never been the case. Obviously there's gradients to polarization but to act like speaking up about any thing you care about today is uniquely divisive is baffling and fully willful ignorance
  4. Vinyls out then. Album is out Dec 4 It's like Lana's Paradise - makes more sense conceptually and with time constraints (her year has been nuts) to make a full. 9 is pretty great for the concept imo
  5. Subversive replied to Cain's topic in Base
that first pic...oh wow. i can see a billion photos of her and yet now and then she still manages to suprise me how stunning she is
  6. Everything about how this has gone shows why the death penalty should not be a thing. So easy to say she deserves it (she does) but the realities of how to do it and the legal challenges leading up to it are such a waste when life penalty is enough
  7. if it wasn't for my masseuse and music I would've k-worded myself years ago this is a personal attack
  8. Calling this an op-ed and featuring it is as self-absorbed and oblivious as a lot of what Taylor has been doing over the past two years
  9. I think "I'm stronger than all my men, except for you" is the one
  10. Can't believe it's been six years since The Ascension. No album feels like the first cool breeze of autumn quite like this one
  11. maybe every new song she performed on the tour will be the singles so Nekromantik will be the last one The melody to ithGAG's prechorus might be one of my absolute favorites she's ever done so im glad she's doing this rollout just for me
  12. The vocal mixing is not good and at times distractingly bad for the title track being about dancing, there's not that much here to get the kids to want to - Innocent being the main exception- but once you get over that, sweet songs and a good project overall
  13. The way the live versions have been elevated by the album versions by a wide margin … I don't think I will survive ITHGAG I think it's good for today's focus to be the single and tomorrow the album announcement
  14. The head nod oh wow she's truly a student of Lemonade
  15. What is HITSDD track record again? I always assume they're getting information from label meetings and briefings but I may have just made that up in my head
  16. She truly is her only completion
  17. when she drops it on 9/11 worst girl in America indeed
  18. Early reports suggest Dolly was in the hospital since last week, so hopefully that means Miley and the family were able to say goodbye in time (and maybe also a sign that Miley would've - or has already and the early teasing will be longer than expected - pushed the campaign).
  19. she's kind of giving Beyoncé with how she can cover such a major publication on one of their key months with a nothing burger of an interview and seemingly for no reason but just for the love of serving and reminding people a major smash is always looming
  20. A good bit of Thalia's 2000s output is also vocally and sonically most similar to Britney as opposed to Madonna or others. Gloria's theatrics feel the most Gaga out of the bunch. I link Selena to Bey most as a performer - and we know Bey was a fan given the Houston connection and that time she ran into her at a mall. Career timelines and cultural differences make these types of comparisons impossible but still fun to think about
  21. Yuri would be the closest aesthetically. My parallels are that Thalia is closest to Britney, Gloria Trevi to Gaga, and Selena to Beyoncé. Obviously there's no perfect comparisons but as far as overall ethos, these fit the best in my head
  22. This ode to women being his worst song is giving National Women's Day being on the shortest day of the year
  23. Hope his kids are close with family members so they have someone to support them through this. Horrendous situation and hope they didn't have to see this.
  24. ?? She had about 97 song/ideas written in her RO journal. Even if she didn't record demos for every single one, she was working on other stuff not just in that journal so she had to have still recorded minimum 75+ demos for the era. Less than DL1 and FN but let's not act like she didn't do a good bit of demo exploring like she has been doing with DL4
