I agrih. It just doesn't make sense that ads can sometimes cover over half of my phone's screen when visiting the site, and I can't even click on an "x" to close them fully, just push down to a mini-bar at the bottom that still takes screen space. If the site relies so much on ad revenue to run, at least don't make the ads so intrusive that people are pushed to ad blockers instead of tolerating them to help the site.

For example, I see too many people from our community use it that way during discussions surrounding gay men's misogyny (and I'm sorry, but the "gay men are more misogynistic than even straight men" takes are ******* insane). One deranged post by some random, gay Twitter user and suddenly gay men are the worst women haters on the planet and need to be exterminated. It also gives me the sense that it allows people who are not queer but feel too comfortable in our spaces and/or hide behind the "ally" label to either support such hateful views or use the slurs themselves. Just NO.
