Winston: Shawn’s Summer of Love to debut T50 on Hot 100
The fact that he's over.

Katy's "One Of The Boys" tops 1 billion streams on Spotify
And Hot N Cold is doing 350k daily AND, the album is comfortably doing above 800k daily, and is in 6th place in terms of daily streams for a 2008 album. We really underestimate how huge this era was.

Teenage Dream surpasses The Fame on Billboard 200
The Fame + The Fame Monster = 11x platinum; Teenage Dream = 8x platinum 11:8 is NOT a 2:1 ratio, It is a 1.375:1 ratio Singles sales are still sales at the end of the day, so it's absurd to exclude them in order to make a misleading conclusion. If TF/M really did in fact outperformed TD by 2:1 in terms of popularity in the US, like you stated, then don't you think that TF/M should have double the recurrent streams than TD. The popularity of an era should always be proportional to an album's recurrent streams. Sadly, TF/M is falling behind.

Teenage Dream surpasses The Fame on Billboard 200
Wow. Interesting. I never knew this. So Teenage Dream is outstreaming and outselling BOTH TF and TFM combined right now. I guess this proves that Teenage Dream is factually, objectively, and definitively the more remembered album once we considered that TF + TFM combined originally sold more than TD. I guess some albums age poorly, and The Fame is undeniably one of them. What's interesting is how TF+TFM is an album with 23 songs, whereas Teenage Dream: TCC is only 15 songs. Yet, TD is performing better on streaming. Very unfortunate. But not every album (double album in this case) can be remembered, sadly. What's also super interesting is how Teenage Dream has been charting on the UK Official Charts almost every single week this year, while The Fame and The Fame Monster is -OUT.

Teenage Dream ties The Fame on Billboard 200
The Fame and The Fame Monster are rightfully certified separately by RIAA. The Fame is 6x platinum. The Fame Monster is certified 5x platinum. RIAA split the sales of the TFM Reissue between the two eras. Yes, if we combine these two eras, they do outsell Teenage Dream. Gaga's certifications were last updated in March of 2020, which was actually only 5 months prior to TD's certifications. The only reason why TD was updated was because of its 10th anniversary. OOTB hasn't been updated in a decade, so no, her label is not as quick as you want to think.

Teenage Dream ties The Fame on Billboard 200
Probably 50% of TF's 5M sales came from a reissue. The Fame only sold around 1.5M before TFM was released, which isn't particularly impressive. I don't know what you are trying to prove here. The Fame's chart run is still heavily bolstered by a reissue, even if an EP was sold individually. In fact, both the streams from TF and TFM count towards The Fame's chart run right now. This means that its chart run from the past few years result from the streams of 23 songs. In comparison, Teenage Dream: TCC's chart run right now comes from 16 songs. And the TFM reissue isn't really comparable to TCC since TFM was 8 new tracks, as opposed to 3. TF + TFM was definitely bigger TD. I'm not denying that. But The Fame's sales were and still are heavily boosted by an 8-track reissue.

Hot 100: Butter blocks Lil Nas X
Ok, this it too much. I would be okay with them at #1 for maybe 1-2, but this is about to be a 10 week #1. I'm honestly embarrassed by this for some reason.

'Happier Than Ever' debuts with 35.6M on Spotify
Take this down. You know very well that Happier Than Ever will triple Chromatica's sales in the long run. Gaga is a frontloaded artist. Look at Born This way, ARTPOP, Joanne, and Chromatica. All of these album had 200k+ debuts, one with a 1m+ debut, and yet they vanished from the charts instantly because the GP doesn't listen to her beyond the first week. For comparison, WWAFA,WDWG debut with less streams than Chromatica on Spotify for their first day. Yet, WWAFA,WDWG had 7.6 billion streams to date, whereas Chromatica has a measly 1.6 billion streams to date. This is also proof that Chromatica was relying on the hype created by Ariana and BlackPink. What you posted wasn't a wake up call. It just proved how frontloaded her debuts are. OT: These are bad numbers for Billie. But it was expected. 4/5 singles were huge bombs. HOWEVER, the album is amazing as it currently has a 90 on metacritic, so it will most likely have decent longevity.

'Happier Than Ever' debuts with 35.6M on Spotify
These are bad numbers for Billie. Shockingly low. We will wait for the upcoming week to see if the album has any longevity.

Tell the Truth: Is Billboard a Relevant Chart?
Billboard is factually relevant. And it is more accurate than ever because of streaming. It takes into account of what people are actually listening to.

Spotify: Maneskin rises to #2 WW, US: deja vu +5, Ed +1
No. 6 was still a huge album. It definitely underperformed, but it still smashed all over Europe. It is the 5th most streamed album from 2019, and has like 10 tracks over 100 million. Keep in mind that I Don't Care debuted with 10.9 million streams and currently has 1.5 billion streams across all versions. It was a monster smash. We also have Beautiful People, which is above 1 billion streams on Spotify. Even Beautiful People had a higher debut than Bad Habits. So the numbers for Bad Habits are quite mediocre once we finally accept that No. 6 Collabs was a huge album. It's just not good considering he just had two 20+ million sellers in the past 6-7 years. OT: This is his CTTR. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if its global debut will be worse than Chained To The Rhythm since Katy's lyrics video smashed and she had decent digital sales. Ed is OVER.

Spotify US: Ed rises to #12, g4u returns to #1
This is pretty bad. The fact that there was a decrease already in the first day means that the song will be going nowhere. Going from Shape Of You (literally the biggest hit of all time) to I Don't Care (a monster smash) to Bad Habits (potentially a Chained To The Rhythm sized hit) is NOT GOOD. The downfall is real. Maybe he can break Katy's record for having the biggest decline of all time. I mean, he just had not just one, but TWO 20+ million sellers, so the fact that he's pulling pretty mediocre numbers is very telling of the future of his career. The song is also already falling on Apple Music, just two days after its release. I decreased on Spotify. It is OVER for him. Like, he's struggling to debut in the top 10 at this point, and the only thing that will save him will be his payola-ed radio deals. Going from Shape Of You to missing the top 10 in just 4 years, surely that will break Katy's record for having the biggest decline. Also, I have been noticing a lot of Ed Sheeran stans in the past few days lately. Very interesting. Anyways, this will be an exciting ride. I can't wait for all the thread for the next few days.
