i actually thought it was okay on first listen (mostly just the chorus) and by the time i got to my third listen i was really over it

this was kinda top 5 AOTY on first listen and just keeps growing Total Sellout was cute but this is a huge improvement

definitely her best album since Nightride! might be even better tbh Flashbacks and Heavy Weight are fillers but the rest is really good Sunglasses, Too Easy, Melatonin, Pillow Fight, Nobody Wanna Dance Anymore and Brainrot are my faves but I think some of the other songs will grow

the way y'all value charts over the actual music is crazy just say you're more into pop culture than music itself lol

yeah her last three albums all have a handful of songs that would've fit on Lover, it's that bland alt-pop production, no catchy melodies and the Lana'd vocals it kinda worked for me on Midnights, was wearing thin with 1989 TV, over it by TTPD and now it all just sounds the same

no one's convincing me this is what y'all expected from Showgirl in the first place nnn these may not be offensively bad like the original album but they also don't give what everyone expected from the Showgirl concept, they don't really give much of anything at all

yeah these new songs are nothing new and pretty bland

okay yeah Babylon isn't anything new for her either, such a nothingburger of a song and a pretty pointless deluxe i figured it wasn't gonna be as bad as the parent album but all the new songs are just there and unmemorable

pink clouding being seen as a standout just shows how creatively stuck she is, this could have been on any of her last 3 albums or 1989 TV
