Yea that's why Mayhem was certified Platinum in the US after 2 months from release because of Die with a smile's streams at that time. Mayhem hasn't sold 2m units in the US. Her other tracks didn't sell much in the US including Abra. Her album's total in the US might be at 1,5-1,6Mm at best.

Her success was so quick and huge. It's a shame how her last release was a non-factor. Hopefully she can top the charts again with her future releases.

I was actually surprised by Karol's number, amazing for her. Yea Shakira might be the bigger celebrity but Karol is pulling off bigger numbers right now. I guess she is more relatable as a person, and her music represents the Latin culture more than Shakira.

Is it though? By the end of December 2025, and according to HDD Mayhem has sold 1,367m units in the US. Mayhem isn't in the top 50 of 2026 YTD albums, with Nickelback's album selling 585k at #50. And Mayhem departed Billboard 200 on May 2026 after charting for 62 weeks. There is not much that one song can do on its own when the rest of the album's tracks aren't selling well. So I doubt it has already sold 2m units in the US.
