  1. What Beautiful stood for, what it did for the community, was award-worthy enough without including her vocal performance. One take, and she got it like that. It sets a standard for how a ballad should be sung, in my opinion, so of course it was the right one to win. The only other song really that could win for a VOCAL performance is Miss Independent but that didn't have the reach Beautiful did.
  2. I was thinking this the other day and seeing this thread made me remember, so I'll say it... I don't think they should have changed their name.
  3. I have a feeling the blonde character in the plastic box video screenshot relates to the AOMD blonde character and will play a heartbroken cast off of M, "it took me years it only took her a day" or whatever the lyric is, in reference to the overnight success of the other jade character.
  4. Rihanna - GGGB the remix album but the original one - Deluxe edition featuring Dance Remixes https://www.allmusic.com/album/release/good-girl-gone-bad-bonus-cd-mr0001057129
  5. The gold dress and lying on the floor look would be great for a music video treatment!
  6. I wouldn't say smart considering the majority rebought the same album just to have it chart week after week. If minimum price is going to 7.99 that's a lot of wasted money on someone who doesn't even know you exist.
  7. It's quite embarrassing how little interest there is in Perrie. The music is just bland and uninspired. Listening back, her voice is good but she lacks any sort of personality in her voice to give her something unique since she doesn't really have a strong vision.
  8. I was really expecting big things with David being involved! I hope she can bring it back with That's Showbiz, Baby!... after Angel being a masterpiece of a video, Fantasy felt a bit underwhelming. However, I still love it, and love the song. I honestly haven't been this excited over a "new" artist in such a long time, she's got such an exciting vibe around her.
  9. It's very repetitive, verses are a bit bland. meh. Video is ok, would have been better with more looks. An uncut video only really works if the song is interesting.
  10. Who said that was timeless?
  11. She could release the Step on Up blackout edition...
  12. Jade > Jesy > Leigh-Anne > Perrie Jade - so unique and promising for her career, can tell it's a JADE song Jesy - it wasn't that bad, good sample, good video, good nicki verse Leigh-Anne - her vocals don't do it for me, very bland and weak, almost monotone. Perrie - dated and you can tell she's not a writer by trade as it sounds like something anyone else in 2016 could have released.
  13. I feel with Perrie, her talents are vocals only. I think if you take the Little Mix aesthetic away from her, she doesn't really have much. Jade and Leigh-Ann were still good writers and could have careers in that. But Perrie was a vocals girl. I have a feeling she's going to try and release whatever she thinks the public will like/will go viral and hope for the best. Forget About Us was a try to get that country bop hit that was popular, didn't really work outside her fans. I mean she's on vacation when her second single drops. Where's the priorities. But... who's to say there'd be places for her to promo anyway, Forget About Us didn't really get much promo outside of the radio channel youtubes etc. If she wants to be successful, she needs something that feels authentically her, no generic sounds and songs and really push for promo.
  14. It's so childish the way people go after her and other artists. Kim Petras has been quite successful even though working with Dr Luke, same as Doja Cat and Nicki. Just give it a rest and move on. God knows what else is happening behind closed doors with more powerful people (like the Diddy situation).
  15. I was quite looking forward to it once I heard the first couple songs then it droned into that same old sound for her. That slow RnB, nothing happening, type sound. So probably most of the second half?
  16. It's only just come out and it feels dated. Not impressed by the direction she's gone with her DEBUT single. You have so many amazing artists out there at the minute who are serving fresh music and she's coming with this after being in a mega-successful band. Just hoping Jade does the right thing and releases something fresh and on-brand for her.
  17. In the first days of a relationship/dating setting, if someone wants to text they will. No matter where they are or how long it's been.
  18. People receiving the physical will get an IOU in the CD case instead of the CD. Excited for this, I always love Nicki and she usually has much better tracks on albums than singles. And I was a Queen lover, played it over and over when it came out. So excited regardless the outcome!
  19. I need her to stop with that snippet of "This is me... noooowwwahhoowwww" - it sounds dreadful.
  20. Yeh but how does one translate that into an outfit where you'd go "oh that's Taylor Swift"?
  21. Considering they have to approve the dresses etc and the designers simply put the artists in the dresses, I would say no.
  22. Same, after golden hour it was such a letdown
  23. This could have been massive especially with the Pony sample. I loved it back in the day, played it to death but now it's kind of aged a lot.
  24. Loved his version! wish he would release it as a standalone gift
