Featured Replies

The ABPD, today announced the new rules for certification of singles and albums in Brazil, as well as his ratio:

Certifications for album:

Includes sales of the CDs (pure sales) plus sales of the same full album by downloads, album-sold singles (at the ratio of 10 singles to 1 album) and audio streams and / or video of one or more tracks in the album (in the proportion of 5,000 streams equivalent to 1 complete album)

Certifications for singles:

It includes the sale of a single (band) for download added to the audio and video streaming of the same single / band (in the proportion of 500 streams equivalent to 1 single download).

Ratio for albums = 5.000:1 (streamings of video and audio)

Ratio for singles = 500:1 (streamings of video and audio)

Levels of certifications:

Gold - 20,000

Platinum - 40,000

Diamond - 160,000

Demi about to get a thousand new platinum certs :ahh:

what about diamond? :cupid:

A 500:1 ratio for streams is actually pretty low when you consider just how massive YouTube is in Brazil :jonny:

Like I just did the calculation, and this makes Work From Home and Worth It eligible for 2x Diamond on video streams ALONE :deadbanana2:

Yeah, some of her singles are diamond too

I worked it out with another Lovatic in the demi receipts thread a while ago and her units were SHOCKINGLY high

They just need to raise the certification levels a lot.

Brazil has a population of 200 million and Platinum is 80K for local artists / 40K for international artists.

America has a population of 300 million and Platinum is 1 million.

With streaming, they're going to have just as huge consumption as America.
