Tate has really cemented herself as one of pop's biggest stars, and a huge part of that comes down to how strong she is as a performer. Her choreography, dancing and stage presence have constantly drawn comparisons to legends like Beyoncé and Janet Jackson, with some even saying she could be Janet's successor for a new generation. And honestly, you can see why people make the comparison. Tate has that rare ability to make the performance itself feel like a major part of her artistry, rather than just something that accompanies the music. Is Tate Janet's successor?

How DARE you.

Tate's more global than Janet ever was.

They're both MAGA so maybe you spilled

Well, if Tate is Normani's daughter

And Janet is Normani's mother...

Then Tate is Janet's granddaughter

this is rage bait.

Janet, sweetie...

I mean, Tate is not a bad artist by any means. I think she's a breath of fresh air. However, Janet is on another level in literally every single department - success, artistry, talent, vision, charts, records, legacy, etc. You name it.
