Dying to hear Self Destruct

Anyone tuning in for the listening party tomorrow?

Just got home from the brazilian listening party. It is a fantastic album, way better than TBT.

My standouts: Enough, Sanctuary (the best one), Calm Down and Self Destruct.

WWYF was the best option for a lead single. Beautiful Lie is cute if it's the new single (I prefer Sanctuary).

They finally made a full pop ballad with How Do I Heal. AC radios would eat this up.

And she killed Ben with kindness in Forever Without You. We finally got to hear what she feels. Amazing!

Wow. What a great album! The 2 ballads are amazing.

Errrrmm…so….as die hard fan of 20 years..I have thoughts on first listen

I liked Beautiful Lie, Follow, Self-Destruct and obviously Forever Without You.

I hope by not feeling it, it will grow on me by the opposites attract kind of principle but we'll see.

The vague lyrics about 'living a lie', 'save us from woe', 'sick' whatever, it lacks depth, it lacks specificity. Like, it sounds tighter than The Bitter Truth and is mixed incredibly well which thank God!

The vocals on Forever Without You tho!! There's a really dope vocal stack on the word Sanctuary just before the last chorus which was URETHRAL There's something cool about the Rapture verses but the chorus lost me immediately. So many thoughts, but I'll probably U-turn at one point.

hopefully some fans are ripping the party so we can hear later from the beginning

Didn't get to listen to the Q&A part, hopefully that section makes it way online

Obviously gonna need to listen to the album when it comes out to form a real opinion, but I really liked it!

There were some misses for me on first listen (How Do I Heal and Calm Down)

But also some great highs, Tell Me When You've Had Enough is so me to trumpers right now, I love it

Rapture might be the most interesting song on the album for me, and I can't wait to get a relisten properly in my car when it comes out

Crazy hearing Forever Without You. Maybe they had some sort of meeting over the past few years and that's why she brought Ben back into it lyrically again. Or maybe it's more about her finally embracing that this is her band, her vision, and she wouldn't be here if she didn't trust herself even when it was hard

Beautiful Lie seems like a weird choice for a single if I'm honest? Didn't dislike it but maybe it's more as a passion single cause of the subject matter rather than for a sort of commercial appeal

Absolutely love this album from start to finish. A return to form for sure. Cannot wait until it's released in HQ so I can smoke and really dig into this album. Roll on Friday!

Wait... what's the full tea on Forever Without You?

I was at the listening party in Brasil last night and I loved the album from start to finish. Def their best since TOD.
And yes...Forever Without You is THAT ONE. The vocals? The extension? Incredible. (the piano at the beginning reminded of Alive by Sia and Stone Cold by Demi).

Rapture was another stand out sonically.

Caught the end of the album preview today and heard from Calm Down onward.

I love how heavy the songs sound.

Forever Without You is beautiful and you can hear the pain when she sings the IIIIIIIIII.

oh man, I'm so excited and I'm seeing them live at the end of this month! The band I've been a fan of from I was in high school!

Calm Down sounds like a track from TOD.

Anw the album is amazing. I hope it gets the success it deserves

Forgiveness and letting go. She wrote The Last Song I Am Wasting On You and she came back with an open heart for a final act but not as a bitterness but acceptance and love

Overall a great album

Agreed! Loving how she is investing in the band the past few years and it's clearly working out. The most attention they've gotten since Ev3 I'd say! She's leaning into legacy act that still has something to say and isn't gonna skimp on quality

Perfectly pointed. Also, got really excited with what they said about the investiment on the tour. Hope she gets rid of some songs she always sings every tour.
