I have so many thoughts on this. First of I know that this version of the album was scrapped in favor of About Last Night which is objectively a good pop album that unfortunately was mismanaged, underpromoted, underrated and most importantly wrongfully vilified the second it didn't do numbers which was very weird. Alot of fans and people that did check it out and even critics were fond of the album. Not saying that it was a game changer. It didn't need to be. But it was a genuinely a solid pop record. If I were her I would've dropped this as a follow up sister project asap because this is a body of work that is worthy of an official release. Such a shame that it got shelved and is collecting dust in a fault somewhere cause honestly I think that we can all agree if this would've been her follow up the state of career would've been in a much better place.

Let Them Know not being a massive hit after the success of High Expectations truly derailed everything for her. Not the first instance of Polydor mismanaging and underpromoting an artist after they don't smash from the get go, sadly.

All hit single potential. Once again I reiterate that this should've been released. This completely washes every she has released post ALN

ALN is a good pop album, but it's not what people wanted from mabel. She solidified herself in the rnb/pop lane and suddenly put out this faceless pop album. That's why she flopped. Not because the album was bad.

Yall seriously really overestimate her position in the rnb cause that's where she really was faceless. She didn't pop off until she made crossover material and that was with tropical house pop and afrobeats. Which is a perfect medium for her rnb stuff and synth pop stuff. She's never really been that interesting to be taken seriously as a rnb artist but at least with her crossover stuff she was able to enjoy herself, have fun and be comfortable.

If the album is good. The music is good. It should've done better. She wasn't really promoted properly and it's like they pretty much gave up on her after Let Them Know didn't perform the way that they expected. She needs to stay in the whole girl power next door she vibes she gives off in songs like Finders Keepers, Fine Line, Don't Call Me Up, Mad Love, Definition, Good Luck, Animal and I Love Your Girl are PURE POP PERFECTION

Nah this deserved to be released as a sister album to ALN officially this album washes out most of what she's putting out
