I find the mini album rather inconsequential. But well, we've gotten used to Blackpink in recent years, where their albums often feel like filler. Champion is okay, nothing special.

I like Go! The beat drop in the chorus is so obviously made to be used in TikTok edits that it's almost comical. I really like the bridge, it's one of their best and the repeated "Blackpink" at the end is nice, though it could have hit even harder.

Unsure how much choice they have. He is already their label boss and has been doing ghost work for a while. His work on Jump is uncredited but he individually earns from publishing and his label paycheque. They probably decided to stop hiding it with this EP.

He's been overseeing KPop for Universal Music at large since 2021. This forum is just generally too dumb to understand there are producer-level roles beyond being the producer, that have the exact same level of influence and earnings.

Blackpink, Twice, AtHeart and KPop Demon Hunters are all him coordinating.

Jump and Go are so good. The rest of the tracks can rot.

Anyways I wouldn't be shocked if they disband after this or after they release 1 more full length LP. The album is literally called deadline.

Still baffled about the inclusion of Luke songs in this EP. They are not even good or mid. Were there no other demos from actually talented producers? Or just book Cirkut for 2 more sessions or something

Dr. Luke still has massive pull in the entertainment industry. He uses artists like Blackpink and Katy Perry to force himself back into the conversation of pop music. He has a lot of close ties to higher ups to make this stuff happen… It is what it is.
