Just realized BlackPink is dropping something tonight. Another album blocked for Bruno?

On My Soul is the clear stand out to me. I would've loved it as the lead, I hope it gets its time to shine

I'm not going to lie, I'm a bit disappointed after my first listen. There's no truly bad songs, but the highs are not that high. Risk it All and Nothing Left are my favorites upon first listen while Cha Cha Cha is clearly my least favorite. I'll give the album a few more listens tho. The best thing about this record is Bruno's voice, truly incredible.

Now that I've listened to The Romantic, the order of my favorite albums by him is:

1) 24K Magic

2) The Romantic

3) UJ

4) DW&H

That bases nova tropical vibe from Risk It All should be a Hawaiian hotel and resort theme…..

it is an ep with less songs . not sure how much promo they are doing . they have not released a single yet.

It's a record made for his casino hotel and resort for sure the whole records vibe is giving vacation

Risk It All was really good.

Overall I really like the album He touched on a throwback sound in a way he hasn't done before. I do wish he had more songs with those Latin vibes. However there's like 2-3 fillers on here, which on a 9 track album isn't cute

On My Soul is such a smash and needs to be the 3rd single

really good album . alot of the songs had that 70's Silk Sonic sound with horns and strings , the Santana influence was there on a few of the songs as well. the last song was a 50's,60's like Doo W0p song.looking forward to hearing this again later tonight . Bruno played both Risk At All and Cha Cha Cha twice.

I really miss short albums like this, so easy to get into and finish.

Id give this a 7.4 tbh. It's not bad whatsoever. Very high-end production work. Vocals sound amazing as always. But its too formulaic and offers nothing new compared to his previous albums.

Risk it All being a single? It doesn't scream summer single?

Why is risk it all a single? I was expecting a bop, not this Latin mid tempo chop.

A good decent 7 after first listen. I was kinda expecting a pop/r&b banger ala That's What I Like/ Finesse/LOOH, but the album fit it's title very well. I liked Risk It All, Nothing Left and On My Soul the most. I feel like RIA was the only one that deviated from his typical sound. I wanna hear of that ( Latin theme Bruno would be perfect for now). But def night with your partner before romantic sex music.

I'm agreeing with the majority here that this is a solid, middle-tier album for Bruno (easily better than his first two, not as good as the last two) in the 7/10 range. I think the songs I like the most are the ones that are a bit of a new sound for him (Risk It All, On My Soul, Something Serious), and I think as has been the case with 24k & SS, when he leans into the pastiche and drowns in the throwback wave it hits the best.

Oh, and once you get to Nothing Left, you know for SURE that Die With a Smile was meant for this album Though, at the same time, I think its exclusion is perhaps for the best, even if he had slipped it on here as a solo version or something.

I'm loving this on initial listen. Still have a few tracks to go but I can already tell its gonna be an album that I'm gonna be listening to a lot.
