Literally almost all of those are Diamond certified multi-week global smash hits with at least a billion streams on YT and Spotify Its not like Katy's #1s are quick lil hits a la Opalite. Those are generation defying pop classics.

Songs becoming classics has nothing to do with chart positions though. TOTGA is more beloved than the TD #1s for example.

I would say Teenage Dream would plateau at three #1s. Without Kanye E.T would be a cute Top 10 hit (like Blow by Kesha probz) Last Friday Night would peak in Top 3. TOTGA's #3 peak was aided by the B.o.B remix too.

Ain't no shame in the game.

It's crazy that Teenage Dream hit #1 it's def thanks to the California Gurls hype. Her least gimmicky #1 I'd say.

If a song's chart performance goes like 1-5-7-8-9-10... is it considered a #1 hit? It's equivalent to a Top 5 hit imo.

Hold It Against Me for the fact that after debuting at #1 it dropped down the charts pretty consistently then dropped off before it could go recurrent. A january #1 being #60 on the YE chart is CRAYZEEEEEEEEEEEEEE and it was before the quick lil streaming #1s. Like if you were gonna tumble down the charts why did you spend 5 weeks in Top 10?!?!?!
