Even overlooking the aspect that she's not the most natural fit, it's still a huge audience and a lifetime opportunity for most artists. The song needs to be undeniable to take advantage of that kind of massive global exposure. Cute efforts, like her recent ones, aren't going to cut it. Football fans are ruthless.

The only way that I think this can work is if it's sonically more aligned to Abel's music and she dips her toes in and that can serve as a natural progression to LG8 (and maybe that's what she's trying to pull off by being ambitious enough to put it out later this year + what we know about the direction from the hints so far). His pull among that kind of audience is insane and they eat up (almost) everything he puts out.

I agree. If it is a The Weeknd collab there's some potential there because Mayhem scraps won't cut it.

I'd still prefer The Weeknd to be featured in LG8 but alas.

I'm always curious and excited for new music, my only fear is the quality. While I absolutely adore GL I don't think TDD, RUNWAY or SOAW are at level of the best from MAYHEM.
