Ed Sheeran is one of the most successful musicians on our generation. He is worth at least 300million and constantly sells out stadiums. Stadiums that he could have easily move his tour to and sell out again if he had stood his ground and demanded freedom of speech - a constitutional right - to be respected on his stage. He would have garnered so much support from that action alone.

But he's a multi-millionaire coward who stood by as his so-called friend was being literally fired for speaking the truth - something that is protected by law! Macklemore can easily take the promoter and the CEOs to court, and I hope the cleans the floor with them.

But Ed Sheeran stood by and did nothing but let his colleague get literally bullied by a bunch of over-powered CEOs. Oh no, wait. He did something else actually: he released the most ego-centric statement that completely backfired and now he is left without any other band member or opening act.

Ed Sheeran will be fine on a personal level, he is at no financial loss here. Even if the tour is cancelled now, he can most probably cover expenses and a large part of his income through touring insurance cover. But he is now rightly connoted as being a coward and a two-faced bastard who stood by the bullies rather than the oppressed.

why can't he? he's filthy rich. all he had to do was stand up to the weirdos trying to cancel Macklemore and say "I'm not comfortable with you censoring my supporting act" and refuse to perform.

CEOs and companies feel so damn comfortable doing things like they've done to artists like Macklemore because the biggest artists in the world are silent. These artists care more about their own pockets than the fact that people are being murdered and ethnically cleansed. You cannot claim to care about people's rights and then be silent when something like this is going on.

You just want to live vicariously through her success rather than for her to speak up for what is right. That is morally bankrupt.

Well to be fair, beyonce is not someone who has been silent. i mean lets not forget someone who was part of constructing her stage literally threatened to make sure her stage collapsed upon her while performing because of her political beliefs and discussion of police brutality..
