Should Katy return to her CCM roots?

Featured Replies

CCM = Contemporary Christian Music

Lately countless threads have been made to find the One Weird Trick that will return Katy Perry to relevancy. In the United States, CCM and other music with Christian themes have made a revival as of late.

Should Katy Perry rediscover her Christian roots for commercial success?

:clack:

Ew no. Rock n Rollty or Spiritualty. No Christian slop pls

Will the christians buy her music after what sage did to the nuns?

Personally, I don't think it's possible for her to get any commercial success (top 50 on billboard), no matter the genre.

I think no matter what genre she does , she won't be able to make good music out of it , she unfortunately lost it artistically

Evangelicals from Protestant denominations strongly dislike Catholicism, so I doubt they'd care.

That being said, I did mention that Bandaids kind of sounded like worship music from some of those sects you find in the US, so maybe OP is onto something!

It quite literally doesn't matter what she does, no one will care. If being a musician/artist is what fulfills her, then she needs to do what she wants to do without caring about success.

I mean she could try. Maybe doing CCM could feel rewarding for her, but she sure isn't gonna find commercial success in that :deadbanana4:
