She "confirmed" the next era for next year in an interview with a Mexican newspaper :jonny6:

star crossed is so underrated. it's a fabulous record i love it so much :jonny: it just needed a bit of filtering, but i wouldn't mind if she revisited that synth-y pop sound again

PLUS: Steph Jones (Espresso) is credited on the last two songs on the list :jonny6:

Perched! I would love it to have a vibe that fits right in with songs like Slow Burn, Lonely Weekend, Golden Hour, Simple Times, Cardinal, Easy, Blowin' Smoke, Waves :jonny4:

Exactly, it's bit rough here and there and it was a big departure from her usual stuff (although LIAWT and High horse were much "poppier" than anything on it)  but it has gems, a lot of them actually :jonnycat:

she also didn't properly launch the era right. camera roll should've been lead. it was the perfect bridge for her. country esque while not too pop like her early work and sentimental and sweet and captivating like GH. then breadwinner and justified would have been good follow ups

but it's a very artistic narrative bent record. and i like the risks she took with the title track and gracias a la vida. but you definitely to be in the mood to listen to it whilst her other albums are far easier to get into

I've always wanted to get into her music. I'm a massive Maren Morris fan is her music similar? Which album from her is her most popular leaning as i am a pop music lover?

This looks like a better start than the last 2 but I don't think anything is ever gonna touch golden hour. That's my all time favorite non taylor album

Slightly more country. But very similar. It's the same lane as Kelsea Ballerini tbh

Lainey Wilson? Her over exaggerated fake country accent kills me... Isn't she super MAGA or no?

her last two albums were f-cking awful, praying on my knees that this one is better

Lainey doesn't share her political views.

oh wow didnt expect this but i just love good news. was also just listening to arm's length which is an underrated gem.

I need her to have more experimental non just country songs :dancehall:

How she intertwines synths with her classic sound is where she shines the most for me.

Kacey Musgraves is also sitting on FIVE songs that did not make Cowboy Carter co-written with one of Beyonce's favorite female writing collaborators INK (who contributed to "16 Carriages", "Thique", "Alien Superstar", "Texas Hold Em", "Ameriican Requiem", and "Summer Renaissance"). Do you think those will see the light of day?

Am I tripping or didn't she tease a Spanish inspired album not too long ago?

Yeah!! It was in the same interview where she confirmed the new album for next year. She's been spending a lot of time in Mexico.
