Release week! I'm most excited about the album dropping because it means touring ( I know she won't tour America) but I'm hopping being able to tour this album inspires her creative process and the next body of work comes faster then this one did.

Also I'm looking forward to having the vinyl in hand I adore the packaging.

The first four tracks of Self-Titled are actually very solid.. I quite enjoy this album tbh, but Get My Math is pretty horrid, and I Believe is too formulaic to be enjoyable in any way. Love her cover of What A Feeling, though.

... aaaaand, Stronger is kinda the total opposite for me. I really Love Is All Around, and Kick Back Relax is fun; but the rest of the songs are some of the most basic, disposable music I've ever heard. Perfectly harmless and serviceable, but certainly nothing I'll listen to again until my next discog listen in 2043 before her next EP.

Ah, and now we get to the good stuff. The 180 from Weaker to DLP must be studied. This was such a solid, fun, high quality pop record that still has discog highlights.

We've made it here - I've been so excited. Joyous from the very first few seconds, Veritas is so fantastic; currently my second favorite project of hers (and very likely to stay there - hihi BM...)

AIWIY is literal audio catharsis for me; HT is pure euphoria; and DGBMH is one of her biggest megabops. The album is consistently great, but these three rise so far above and beyond the other tracks.

I can only imagine what my young gay life may have been like if I'd found and known this album when it was released in 2012 (?!?!?!?!)
