Now that P4K is pretending to like them they should change scores for their previous albums. :coffee2:

what genre is this

art punk and dance-punk I'd say! think LCD Soundsystem but a little bit less concerned with fast tempi or the band Television

very empowering sounds :loud: and just extremely indie vibes

They were already stanning Cameron Winter on December, his album was BNM'd too.

no sorry it's not for me :rip: I couldn't get into Cameron Winter no matter how much I tried

cool artwork tho

This is insanely great. Like on a whole new level of greatness.

Just finished the album. There is quite literally no one like Cameron. Love this so much. :heart2:

is the way this sounds to me the way The Strokes' Is This It sounded to a lot of people back in 2001? cause it certainly feels like it must be :jonnykin: I was only 4 when that album came out so I wasn't able to experience all the excellence contemporaneously but wowzers… Geese really tugging at Lights', Gaga's, FKA twigs', Marina's, and Banks' wigs… right when I thought my top 5 albums of the year was just gonna be comprised of women solo artists lmao

genuinely, songs like Cobra, 100 Horses, Half Real, Bow Down, and Taxes all sound like they're gonna be considered indie classics sooner rather than later :jonnyknife:

Maybe it could be like The Strokes if we were in 2001, I don't know if there is a place in mainstream for this kind of alt rock at the moment. We'll see. The album is definitely of quality and deserves huge success. The critics are here for Cameron Winter to be the next Julian Casablancas or Alex Turner. I guess it will take a few years for them to become popular, maybe how it happened for Tame Impala.

ugh I really wish there COULD be! I'm so ready for a cultural shift in the main that would let alt rock radio hits breakthrough from indie bands :chick3: like how refreshing would it be to hear a song like Taxes on pop radio! if a band gets big enough I'm sure it could happen again… maybe a popstar needs to collab with a band like them or maybe they need to have an iconic TV performance to have it all happen, but I'm rooting for them in not only the regard of already adoring this album but for in that regard too. big time commercial fame

I like their last album more than this one. But it's still great! Islands of Men is the one :jamming:
