Interesting read. They compared the two songs' performances by week, by year, on the Billboard Global 200, on Spotify, and how these two songs may end up charts-wise by the end of the decade. 

The fact that we're seriously having conversations about DWAS compared to the universally-accepted biggest smash of the streaming era and it looks like it'll come out ahead, oh she always wins in the end doesn't she? 

The way Gaga may end up having the biggest hit of the whole ******* DECADE INSANE!

Its sad how MALES have like the top songs (both power houses and have MULTIPLE hits of their own).
BOAF literally is carrying the female representation in the top hits this decade
I hope some more female pull through but its like IMPOSSIBLE atp not everyone can have a BL type smash unless they're Male ofcourse.

Scoring a GÀRgantuan smash that's in the running to be the biggest song EVER in her third decade of career activity while still churning out acclaimed and successful solo hits, albums and tours. Who's doing it like her? 

 

DWAS has a certain timelessness and universal appeal to it that I think will give it the edge for a firm finish after a shaky start.

 

Talent (=Godga) always wins.

BOAF and DWAS are neck to neck on Spotify, while it's demolishing it on other platforms and downloads. Plz don't be delulu

 

Blinding Lights and DWAS smashed in different places which is impressive. BL was super massive in Europe and Anglosphere while DWAS is massive in the US, Asia and Latin America. The markets that DWAS smashed in are much bigger for streams than Europe.

Well BOAF came out months before. It'll surpass it considering DWAS is high on the platforms. 
DWAS is doing much better on Deezer and Amazon Music which are big in countries like France, Germany and Brazil. Along with over a 600m gap on YouTube. Plus more downloads (which isn't much but still shows some support)

Blinding lights is a huge smash in Asia and Latin America also

 

It's getting 1.5-1.6 mil streams daily on spotify still

the minute I heard the song and then the music video came out and Gaga seemed cool and comfortable in the mv for the first time in AGES I knew it would be a mega smash hit....that little cute dance scene she does...the freedom in it, the confidence, the energy....she was giving old school Gaga and the GP responded as they did to her back then. Now it's one of her biggest hits ever. So proud

Dont know why people downvoting this post when it's the truth? Females get hits yes but females dont have random **** songs being randomly big like A Bar Song (Tipsy). The males have it so easu and it's kinda unfair.
