"tea app" data breach confirmed

Featured Replies

The company confirmed Friday that it has "identified authorized access to one of our systems" that exposed thousands of user images.

According to Tea's preliminary findings, the breach allowed access to approximately 72,000 images, broken down into two groups: 13,000 images of selfies and photo identification that people had submitted during account verification and 59,000 images that were publicly viewable in the app from posts, comments and direct messages.

Those images had been in a "legacy data system" that contained information from more than two years ago, the company said in statement. "At this time, there is no evidence to suggest that current or additional user data was affected."

What pictures exactly? I thought they were posting about the men that wronged them. Are these the leaked images?

The idea of women creating an app to dox men and then getting doxxed in return with their DL's, addresses, full names, alongside their comments and their selfies.. I'm screaming.

How does that song go? Karma's a bi-

From what I've read, the app wasn't created to "doxx" random innocent men but rapists, child molesters, and a space for women to protect other women from harmful and abusive men.

OT: Wouldn't be surprised if butt hurt men are behind this. They've been melting down over this app for days, essentially proving why an app like this was created in the first place.

Yikes, pictures are being leaked all over the internet

including pics of people's drivers' licenses that they used as photo verification.

This is just another mindless trend for NPCs to give out private information.
