she must have laced this song with crack i listened to it like 20 times in a row, top 5 best songs of the year for sure

It has the punch that Twisted Mind lacked (production and vocal wise)

It's crack I think :WAP:

You recently released 'Balenciaga Covered Eyes', and yesterday you dropped your new single 'Milk' — both from your upcoming album. What can you tell us about the new material?

With Magic Still Exists my main focus was to create the right musical world, to figure out what kind of production I wanted, what kind of songs I wanted to write. That ended up being a disco-pop, or as I call it, "spiritual pop" universe. But with this new album my main focus is on the lyrics. Melodies come to me pretty easily, but sometimes when you already have a melody that you love, adding words afterwards can be a real struggle. So this time I started with the lyrics and built the melodies on top of that. I also wanted the whole thing to feel a bit more raw. Magic Still Exists was quite maximalist in its production, with layers upon layers. I didn't necessarily want the new songs to be less maximalist, but I wanted to reduce the elements so that each individual element had more space. That's where the rawer vibe comes from.

How did 'Milk' come about?

'Milk' started with the lyrics. I spend a lot of time in my car, and I usually have a piano or keyboard loop playing while I'm driving around, singing and coming up with lyrics. I started thinking, "I turn milk into butter, and butter into money. And with the money, honey, I create the life that I like." It was kind of a mini-mantra, and that's how I started working on the song. I went into the studio with Kerstin Ljungström, who I did a lot of the album with. At first I thought, "What if I was related to The Hives?" You know that Swedish rock band? What would I sound like if I was their sister? So we started with a wilder version of 'Milk', but later we added a bit more disco to it. It all started with that mini-mantra, and it evolved from there.

Do you have plans to promote the new album internationally? We would love to see you perform in the Netherlands!

That's my main focus right now! Magic Still Exists came out during COVID, so I've never been able to tour it; I haven't performed those songs live yet. So yeah, I definitely want to tour the new album, and I'll definitely be performing outside of Sweden!

Pre-chorus is so good, I can't. The verses and that pre- should have been longer tho. This song could have wasily been another 5min smasher like LAP if she let the song breathe a bit more. Like both BCE and M are perfectly long enough songs, but still somehow feel short / just fly by? Weird

The prechorus is so good but u don't even know what the hell she saying if u don't check the lyrics

I feel like the album launch can't be too far away now(?) She seems to be moving pretty quick... And what's there to wait for, no shade lol
