We might be wondering why 2025 has felt a bit underwhelming in terms of mainstream hits but the truth is, plenty of artists have put real effort into having strong comebacks. The problem? The singles just didn't catch on. So, which 2025 single that underperformed do you think deserved better? For this I only list  artists who saw significant mainstream success just a few singles/years ago.

Bruno Mars & Sexyy Red, Fat Juice & Wet (charted only 7 weeks, coming after mega hits "Die with a Smile" & "APT")

 

Lil Nas X, HOT BOX (N/A on Hot 100)

 

Jack Harlow & Doja Cat, Just Us (#57 peak, charted one week on Hot 100)

 

Miley Cyrus, End of the World (#52 peak, charted four weeks on Hot 100)

That Lil Nas song was a bop. I feel like if he'd released that instead of J Christ, this era would be in a much better place

I feel the same tbh. A lot of the song on his recent mixtape are pretty solid. A shame he would release J Christ instead of those.

Hotbox was great but he teased it like 2000 times over the past year, once it was out the hype was gone, that and the JChrist mess.

 

I'll go with Doja and daddy Harlow's single.

End Of The World is one of this year best songs, it's an unfair underperformance it deserves Flowers numbers.
