Conan Gray - 'wishbone'

this feels like a return to his slow sad sound after the step up that was found heaven... Too bad his fans are too close minded & boring

Seems like 1 group will end up disappointed but he could do half/ half :cm:

Found Heaven was an incredible pop album. Imagine being this tasteless to call that a bad project.

If it had been released by a pop girlie, the narrative would be totally different.

sad but not surprised that Max Martin/Ilya/Oscar Holter aren't involved for this album.  Found Heaven was one of my favorite albums last year. Fainted Love is one of my all time favorite pop songs. It's a shame the whole era kinda flopped.  I think the dramatic pure pop switch up alienated some fans (but also drew in new ones like me)

I don't click as much with Dan Nigro's work with him. The sad boy, whisper ballad stuff doesn't really do it for me. Some stuff from Superache was really great though. I'll be tuning in for sure

"Found Heaven" was absolutely amazing, legit a classic for me!

:falcon: this song still sends chills down my spine.

Wish this would've went viral and had a Celine Dion feature. That bursting moment, key change i think, is just so 90s

It was a huge disappointment that Miss You was cut from the set list when I saw him live. It's also one of my faves

I was shocked when I saw the credits for FH recently. the world failed him it should have been big smh  :thing:

This was pretty boring, some nice melodies here and there. But imagine going from a hidden gem of a pop album to boring Dan Nigro again :ace:

Every track over 3 minutes, we won!  Found Dead In A Ditch can't relate :celestial4:

Great album! Started listening bc I liked his last album and even though this is more like his older stuff and sadder I like the upbeat stuff. Caramel and Romeo :clap3:

The Kit Connor implications are so real, the concept of Conan's partner being a "better actor" than him/"You're no Romeo" when Kit played Romeo on Broadway. There are also so many references to London. The song Connell references the emotionally closed off character from Normal People who is ashamed of who he's dating due to his social standing, a character Kit has said he identifies with, the opening line of Care being "Charlie went to your show, says he can tell that you're doing well" which is the name of Joe Locke's character in Heartstopper, Kit's screen partner.

If it is about Kit it's *very* revealing about his drug use to his insecurity regarding his sexuality.

this is another great album from conan :clap3: doesn't quite reach the excellence of kid krow and superache but this is super cohesive and an impressive effort nonetheless.

caramel is definitely my favourite of the new tracks

This album is excellent so far. At Nauseous now and Romeo and My world really stand out from what I've listened. I like conan but I don't usually revisit his full projects. This one so far feels like one I'll be listening to in full for a while to come.

Wishbone is amazing, Conan so perfectly captures what it's like growing up a sad gay male teenager and he deserves so much success for that,He doesn't get much recognition in the pop space.

I like this, it's a solid album, very cohesive. Romeo, My World and Caramel are my faves of the new songs.
